My thoughts

I’ve used the new forums for a little while now and I generally find them ok, they are certainly easier to use and nicer to look at on a mobile phone. There are a few things I want to comment on though.

Tags: I like the use of tags although the list seems incomplete. I would like to see their compulsory use on the recruitment threads as it allows people looking for a corp to group similar ones together, so anyone just looking for high sec can see just ones tagged with that. It would seem that some people do not add tags though.

New: I like the idea of the new option so I can see what topics are new. I would also however like to prevent certain forums from appearing there, the sales ones for example selling characters, I personally don’t want to read those so would like to exclude them (or indeed others) from the list shown to me

3 month closure: why would you do this? for example some threads on the old forums like the ISK Per Hour thread would benefit from not having to be created every 3 months.

I think that is it for now.

You can avoid this by adding categories (including subcategories) in the preference -> notification -> category and adding to “muted” the one you don’t want to see (hopefully, there’s autocomplete for this)

+1 for 3month closure, especially for guides / apps & these kind of threads.

Excellent, I never knew this, thanks

This new forum SUCKS in every shape, way, and form.

That is your opinion.

Please explain why anyone would want guide and application threads to close after 3 months, especially if those threads are kept current and remain relevant to their specific topic?

Maybe by starting to read the first post, you would then understand why I “+1” 'ed.

I did read the first post and every other posted reply after that. Maybe I misunderstood your statement. It seemed like you were in agreement with having threads close automatically after 3 months.

Adding one little word to that statement would have made the actual intent much more clearer and wouldn’t have caused any misunderstanding, for example:

+1 for no 3 month closure, especially for guides / apps & these kinds of threads.
