Tried out FW by myself. went out and I noticed something
Why are the faction navy ships not paired with the T2 ships(IE: only allowed in advance plexes)
The navy equivalent is the rich man’s T2 variant so to speak.
Now mind you, not really knowledgeable in FW and whatnot, so help me understand please
No idea, although I’m sure someone more knowledgeable will weigh-in.
Navy ships are not as powerful as Pirate and T2 ships are. They only have one extra bonus over their standard variants. They are also very affordable for FW players and kinda the main reward for joining the militia.
Uhh, can T2 ships or Pirate ships go into navy only plexes?
I believe we should only compare what can go in, and It would seem to me that T1 are really hampered going against a navy faction counterpart?
and looking at that one extra bonus it’s pretty Hefty of a bonus.
Or am i missing the point here?
You are the one that said it’s a rich person’s T2. It is by far not equal to power to a T2 ship. Navy plexes are meant for navy ships. For FW pilots, they are very cheap (one or two plexes covers the LP for most hulls).

Navy ships aren’t all that much more powerful than standard T1. The main two ships i fly in FW are the kestrel and the maulus. There are no navy frigates that give me pause when i see them on d-scan. This includes the hookbill that for the most part is just a fancy kestrel. Except maybe the Griffen navy if I’m in the kestrel.
However there are several pirate ships that i know i just can’t beat. And most of them are the same ships i couldn’t beat in a navy frig.
Ontop of that access to navy ships is extremely easy for fw pilots. The navy plexs are the only place these navy frigs shine.
When we start looking at the cruiser and larger sites the navy ships do start preforming as a whole a bit better than standard T1 however they are still nowhere near the pirate or t2 options. But in general the cruiser+ sites are just a differant beast in fw to the frig and dd sites
