Need Skill Point log

We need a log of skill point transactions. Visible in game and written to our disks (since you will not keep the logs long on server just like you cut down Wallet logs and should start write these to disk automatic).

Time Transaction Source Current
2024-08-20:0700 +10000 2 Daily goals completed 801868
2024-08-20:0701 -250 some skill level 1 801618

Back when unallocated skill points was hardly a thing, this was not so important. But now we have daily transactions on every character.

Forums could also use to stop breakign people’s lay out.

bumped to Player Features & Ideas - EVE Online Forums

why are you always so negative? I was thinking just the same thing recently. coming in and saying “no one needs or wants this” has zero constructivity to it, you could have said less and been more helpful. please stop posting if this is all you’ve got to say.

i think its a good idea and could go well with the suggestion i made of allowing us to pool all unallocated sp’s from all characters on an account and spend it on whichever one we like,

Why do you need a log to show where your SP goes? Whats the point?

that’s not what op is asking for, read it again, they are asking for a log that shows when, why and how much unallocated sp they have gained, the reason is so we can track it.

Jeeez… where are the times when people simply played the game? Just undock and do stuff…

What really does it matter where your uninjected SP did come from? Why in hell should anyone “track them”? If you have them, use them. Once they are in your head, forget about them. Go play the damn game!

Do you also ask that every time a store make a receipt for you?

Do you ask when the mail man ask for your signature oon important messages?

My guess is nope, you are just asking here to troll.

Dude, what’s wrong with you? First sentence of the thread:

The example was even of SP moving in and out of the balance.

Maybe you’re the one that needs to learn to read?
:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Also, there’s already a log of what skills you’ve finished learning. Tracking any further than that is simply asinine and pointless.

stop replying to me.

We aren’t talking about RL items you might need a proof of purchase for a warranty case or your tax records. We are talking about free gifts in an online game that are completely irrelevant. Nobody ‘needs’ such a log, Nobody needs the daily SP either, if it was up to me, CCP could completely remove that nonsense.

Why? Because I disagree with you? Because you don’t like it?

Sorry, you don’t get to dictate what I do online. Get over yourself.

Completely independent of that she doesn’t get to dictate who can reply to her posts on a public discussion forum.

Furthermore there is a solution too: the forum provides the option to mute or ignore other users.

And people wonder why so few make suggestions or state opinions on these forums.

Suggestions like this makes no sense.

Because people suggesting them don’t put any thought at all behind them, then get offended that no one supports the suggestion they didn’t stop and think about?

Why is a log important now that we have daily skill points?

You can check your skill window to see how many unallocated and allocated skill points you have.

I don’t understand what the problem is you’re trying to solve?

Who is “people”? Is there a statistic anywhere that I have missed? Mass isn’t quality. We don’t need a forum full of brainfart-one-liners coming from people with zero experience, zero will to write at least some well-written sentences or the ability to value feedback, even if it is negative. Not even talking about being able to endure a honest discussion.

What this section needs is a mandatory quality standard for submitting a suggestion. That includes an in-depth explanation of the “problem” the user has identified, by explaining the current situation (in detail!), explaining what aspect/mechanic the suggestion is targeted at, then explaining what results the poster expects if the suggestion is implemented and why that would be better than what we currently have. Last but not least a rough estimate about possible negative effects or abusable parts of this change and how this could be prevented.
So, round about a page or two of well-formatted text with links and sources that show that the user has a) deep knowledge and experience about the part of the game he talks about and b) taken his time to deeply think about an idea to make EVE Online a better game and how this could be achieved.

If one is unable or unwilling to do this, his “suggestion” should land directly in the trash bin, because that is where it belongs. This one is a prime example.

What?! Are you saying the often thrown in “Wouldn't it be cool...” tagline in case of threads in this section is not enough of a reason to implement a feature that popped into the mind of the poster like five seconds before posting their thread?
