I just discovered that there is a PvE server, it’s called the ‘test’ server and you can log on there and play by yourself. I was just mining in my Venture, and I’ve got a fat stack of Veld. No griefer bullies there to ruin my day!

I talked to Johnathan just now. He said, and I quote, “Welcome to EvE.” He suggested that, in the future, you tryfitting a ‘tank’ to your spaceship .

I tried doing that, but no one was buying my ore or minerals! Players on the test server told me that my ore is worthless, since there’s no issue for anyone to have as much ore as they like.

I don’t like this! I need someone to buy my stuff. I want there to be players who are willing to pay me a premium for what I produce. I just don’t want to have any risk in producing it, because I am a peaceful player! Let the PvPers have all the risk, since they like it so much! They can spend their money to buy my products, while I make money without interference for producing them. It’s a good system that works for everyone!

Last time I went to the test servers, griefer actually came .

BTW there is a section about griefing in the test server.

Is it? A freighter is a very powerful ship, just one that specializes in hauling not offense. Defensively though, it is also probably near unmatched in highsec. It is one of the few ships that is literally impossible to solo kill before CONCORD arrives and ends the fight. You literally need a dozen or two allies (or alts) to make victory even a mathematical possibility.

If 20 destroyers can’t kill a freighter, even at a loss, how many should? It’s already near impossible to win a fight against a freighter in highsec. You need a fleet of at least a dozen to even try. Sure, you could argue that ganking, and Eve more generally, is a game too easy to multibox which may be the root cause of why the game is stacked so heavily against the criminal, but I’m pretty sure it is stacked enough. Certainly, it is stacked to the point only a couple try-hards are hunting freighters any more.

There are plenty things you can do to avoid dying in a Freighter when you have an unbeatable police force on your side. It just happens a that autopiloting through Uedama on a weekend is not one of them.

I sense a lot of anger and dissatisfaction coming from Anderson.

I think Anderson would be much happier after stopping to try to antagonize the PvP folks on the forums, and joining them for some ganks or wardecs instead.

She needs a boyfriend.

If she wasn’t such a grumpy sourpuss, maybe she’d meet a nice guy.

Obviously the solution is to scale ship HP to the value of the cargo being carried.

Why not just let players teleport goods from one system to another? Like a universal hyperdimensional storage hangar, accessible from everywhere, just like PLEX vault.

There should be no reason to undock whatsoever.

Why not getting paid just for being logged in?

No. Exactly what is wrong.

With 6 talos you can kill a freighter with inertial stabs.
This costs 1.5B though, so almost the price of the freigther (WTF I just checked freighter prices).
However THIS is balanced. The issue is that the price is reduced by using more alts.

Make the sentries have infinite range with 1K DPS and attack every target at the same time. 1k DPS in .5 ; 2k DPs in 1.0. Instead of present one target at a time and 350 DPS. Basically you need 20k EHP to deal full DPS in .5, 12k in 1.0.
Add concord spawned turret out of gates range with same stats, with a 3s delay.
