Nerf Ganking Megathread

Well, since i’m a sore loser this is when I should be calling everyone names and raging about being ganked, right?
5 catalysts warped right on top of me, which according to all of you is impossible, and killed me in less than 5 seconds which is also impossible according to you guys. None of them had been in system all day, and no neutrals had been anywhere near me. All impossible according to these forums.
lol

Uh no. Let’s cut through the crap. This isn’t impossible. You want it to be impossible because you failed to keep an eye on local, and actively ping d-scan which would have alerted you the fact that there was five incoming catalyst and give you the time to react and get out.

But instead you would rather pretend to play the victim. You, yourself is solely responsible for the safety and well being of your ship. Not me, not CONCORD, not CCP. You. Either start using the tools at your disposal to avoid ganks, or don’t, but the choices and results are in your hands.

Get over yourself.

That’s terrible. Who would do such an awful thing.

A neutral was near you but you didn’t see it as it was cloaked the whole time, including when it warped to grid, because it was a covops ship that can warp cloaked.

I have literally been told it’s impossible and given a dozen excuses as to why. Not only was I watching local, but I was hitting warp before they landed because I do use d-scan, but because of my skills my fastest barge takes over 6 seconds to get into warp. But go ahead, tell me more about what I was doing than I know I was doing.

5 Catalysts landed on top of me. Tell me more about the situation I was just in.

Didn’t notice the combat probes on grid twice either - or mine aligned/orbiting the asteroid, and all the other counterplays that are allegedly not effective.

And if you have been pre-aligned as suggested by multiple people you’d entered warp immediately instead of a delay which pilot error caused you your ship.

Note: This is the third time he denies and ignores the fact pre-align works.

Why were not pre aligned?

I was aligned, but as I’ve said multiple times before it doesn’t matter. You should youtube videos about how warp works. Unless you’re at 75% of your speed, it takes the full amount of time to get into warp. That is why the microwarpdrive works for bigger ships. It boosts their top speed, then lowers it to instantly warp when the cycle ends.
But please, do tell me more about what I was doing.

Wow, so a learning moment:

No matter what space you are in, if combat probes are on D-Scan, if they are not yours and they were not called out by a blue/fleet saying “combats are blue”, it is GTFO time.

Don’t you feel my rage as i lol?

That is the point of pre-align that you also fly 75% speed, that is literally what it means. :upside_down_face:

I don’t even know what combat probes are. I wasnt in combat, so what were they probing?

I don’t have to youtube it. I experience it in lowsec when I mine in a barge! Pre aligning gives you a edge entering in warp. Are you using an AB? Those will slow down you ability to enter warp as you have to hit 75% of the max velocity if its activated.

Your ship.

Yeah, try to stay in range of a rock when you maintain at least 75% speed. Genius.

You are only aligned when you are greater than or equal to 75% of your max speed travelling at a vector within a 15 degree cone of your warp destination.

Hitting “align” then “stop ship” doesn’t leave you aligned.

Higgs anchors reduce your max speed so 75% max speed doesn’t zip you away from your rocks. Hence, Higgs mining.

Hopefully 4th time is the charm.

Get your d-scanner set up for player ships and combat probes. If you see combat probes show up, someone out there is hunting your ass down. It’s best to boogie
