We have discussed this before CCP made some bad comments in the past and have never said it again. Everyone in game that has been ganked doesn’t mean ganking is a issue. It all the players that have left, and never said why maybe it was maybe it wasn’t ganking, but it isn’t data we will ever get.
I would think you are clever enough to figure this one out, because no one wants to be a target in Eve. You can already see the attempt to push me out of the thread, with the facts which you don’t have, and other replies of BS to hopefully tire me down. It is cute though and I enjoy it.

I pay plenty of real money to CCP on a monthly basis they know I care about the game. Posting with a new alt, main, or anything else I don’t think has a lot to do with anything here.
But keep making it an issue, and it will be in your world.

He’s not hiding behind an alt because he fears retribution in a form of a gank or war deck.
He’s hiding behind an alt in fear of trashing his reputation. Loosing a position in a corp, or an alliance. He knows what he is saying and doing is absolutely trolly and trashy. It’s his MO, and he also knows that his corp mates won’t put up with it if he was ever outed.
The burden isn’t on me to educate you on Eve. Be a part of the thread if you like, ask questions, and heck, even add something of value.
You are not even a good distractor. The same thing I have asked lol, do you want to add anything to the thread to continue replying to none thread value I don’t see how this helps the community.
I would love to engage with you on the topic on balancing ganks and hear your thoughts on the topic other than its good. Who knows maybe you turn a page in my book and get me thinking differently. Other than the opinions I am forming on you today with these replies.

That’s such a victim mentality. You act like miners are helpless -unable to do anything to make themselves harder to gank or fight back. But that’s demonstrably false. Sure, many miners do make themselves soft targets, and don’t do anything to fight back. But that isn’t because they can’t. It’s because they’re putting all their energy into being victims and asking for their enemies to be nerfed, rather than actually trying to get better at the game.
Also, saying that ganking isn’t PvP is a no true scottsman argumentative fallacy designed to delegitimize ganking as a play style. And the cherry on top - is that, in reality, it takes more skill and effort to solo hunt “defenseless PvE’ers”, than it does to be a line member in a “real” PvP fleet.

Now, you don’t need to show “the community” you’re serious, just CCP? Why? You don’t care about “the community” and instead are trying to surreptitiously influence CCP Games itself? And not the community?

Ahh the Eve Forum at its best on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately, or for most of you, fortunately, I’ve nothing to add that hasn’t already been said (20 or 30 times). However…
The use of the term balance here is something to behold. CCP uses it when announcing game changes.
“Today we are effecting a XXXXX re-balance pass…”
Who could ever take exception with something being balanced? It’s like fair share. I usually refer to these as rhetorical flourishes because without effort or proof actions or proposed actions are now beyond question. It’s like looking into a mirror through a mirror. Fair shares are fair. Balance is…well… balanced of course.
And tautologies are tautological too.
That takes us to risk / reward…And of course I’m referring to a risk and reward spectrum that is not only fair but balanced too. Trouble is the risks and rewards we are working with are mostly non-linear and multivariate with numerous gamma spikes in their cute little distributions.
That’s the great thing about free-markets (yes, I know markets are not 100% free) the individual choices of the participants solves for all the variable co-efficients and metes out actual rewards. Now Eve as we all know is a game which requires market like decision making in a pretend world. And for the most part these situations have sufficient supply and demand resulting in broad and efficient markets that, in varying degrees, successfully govern play (IMHO).
And you guessed it…ganking is not an efficient market and we all have an opinion as to why. Ganking is full of gamma spikes. Ganking miners is not purely monetary activity. Call it what you like, but PvP for most players is not a purely monetary activity. And, miners who don’t tank their ships “select themselves” for ganks. Is this a good CCP customer as a group? Do too many players leave? Should CCP bet the farm on this group? Is it offset by the players who stay? Does the presence of many experienced players make for a better game than the short fused players who left? If High-Sec is turned into a carebear-rainbow-unicorn land what will happen to industry prices and the newly disappointed players / paying customers? What will happen to Aiko ???

The lesson here is that too often we look at a market situation we don’t like and decide…if only these changes were made everything will be better. Markets tend to be complex with multivariate non-linear factors that deny comprehension let alone unforeseen consequences. A couple decades ago the US government decided there were too many old automobiles on the roads belching pollution. The solution, buy the clunkers and destroy them, so they did. Well the price of used and new cars shot up, curtailing normal car sales and trade up activity. Many, many people were frozen out of the used car market and had to keep their old cars longer than before. The government actions solved nothing and made matters worse.
