Speaking as a hauler, no, it doesnt.
Not by a long shot.
Wrong.
I am sorry you feel irrelevant.
I am sorry your ego makes you think you are relevant.
Well this is productive.
I’m not. I feel great.
I’m one of the best players in the history of the game. Good for me!
My success is very fulfilling and satisfying.
Meanwhile, in another galaxy…
What game is that
Stellaris. Its pretty good
In my recent election, I received 103% of the vote.
If you have a -5 or -10 security status, you are not flying around High Sec flashy like literally flashing yellow or red. But agree rules would have to change for that, which is workable, and I don’t think would be an issue.
JJ
You are going to turn into my low sec hero you know that right!!! I am too scared to come out of the egg shell it is just to scary
JJ
Yeah, I know, but I am saying a connected system doesn’t have to be huge and can be a little ring, so you can’t get lost if you want. That is what I mean because setting trips and jumping gates and all the normal items aren’t so obvious at first.
JJ
Geezus I am going to have to agree with you, and honestly mean it. Eve complexity does attract a lot of players. This is spot on correct.
JJ
Hah! I love this. Should make it a corp name!
The biggest clue that ganking in highsec is fully intended is the varying Concord response times. Why would Concord take 20 seconds to arrive in a 0.5 system, and 6 seconds to arrive in a 1.0 system, if it were not intended that 0.5 be less safe. And as 0.5 is less safe…who could it possibly be less safe from ? As one can shoot at flashies anyway regardless of Concord, the only possible group this setup could be for is gankers.
Thus the very existence of different security levels and Concord response times in highsec is all the proof one needs that ganking is intended roleplay.
Whether people with a sec status of -5 or less literally flash or not is dependant on your overview settings. I thought the thrust of the argument is that you should be able to shoot them without penalty, and you can. If you want them to be flashy in the local list as well as on your overview, that’s a discussion centering on just how much free intel a person should get when they can check the sec status of anyone in that list with a minimum of effort.

Frostpacker fines you for leaving your pod.
Now I’m embarrassed. I forgot about the habit of always doing a quick chk of the target just in case.
The same can be discussed about why Mining is also intended roleplay and for both parties come to some natural agreement first as interfering with ones roleplay goes against the RP Code of Effects and should be considered harassment if mutual agreement was not first made.
