Warranty void if seal is broken.
These are the type of people who complain about snipers in FPS games. If they are outplayed by the same class they just claim they hack. It really comes down to the good ole’…
It’s not about believing me, it’s about calling me names because he doesnt agree with me. Sorry for the late response, I just now got 3 notifications about this thread from over 2 weeks ago.
Calm down JJ.
Having joined Goonswarm I can fully say that what people say about Goonswarm is pure dribble. They have been nothing but nice and welcoming, giving me tons of advice and guidance and opportunities. Without even asking for it, I have been given resources to keep me forging ahead towards a bright future.
I fell down the reddit rabbit hole a while back and I read some of the comments and threads people started. A whole lot of them were literally saying that Goonswarm turned them into trashy people. That is the same argument that people have tried to make about video games and action movies. You can’t blame everyone else for who you are. You can only blame yourself.
From what I can tell about all this drama is a lot of people dislike Goonswarm for things they have heard about but never experienced for themselves. Others are feeding that crap with claims that some sort of voodoo magic was done on them to make them into a-holes.
What it really seems to boil down to is a lot of people do not like that a group of people has been successful at working together and becoming stronk enough to beat the wolves back, even when it was all of the nullsec wolves trying to team up on them.
I’d prefer if you didn’t dox me like that.
This post is an interesting parallel if one replaces goons
with gankers
.
Well, thanks to you and a few others I changed my opinion on gankers too.
I absolutely understand it.
I am just thinking, isn’t tethering basically and exploit to faction standings making them less meaningful?
I am not sure I like this system, but the way it works CCP probably intended for us to make a major decision and focus on one faction and live and mainly trade in that faction space. Tethering is helping us avoid that and at least trade in Jita even if we aren’t liked by caldari. Was that intended? Well it was always possible, just much more dangerous and prone to errors obviously.
Entirely different question is whether this concept isn’t obsolete especially now when its pretty much just Jita and other trade hubs are dead. And especially because most of us, knowing the negatives of the low faction rep, are tricking the missioning system in a way so that we don’t get our fac standing lowered.
At any rate, we used to live without tether before, so it should be fine shouldn’t it?
Now, who will make the thread dedciated to this idea itself?
did you really scroll over 2000 posts up to find something to argue with me about since I shut you down in the other thread? I didn’t realize that I had such an effect on you. Usually I pay rent where I stay, but thanks for not charging me any.

Yeah, that was explained to me finally. I took align to mean pointing the nose of my ship at the station. They talk about it in rookie chat but they never say anything about this amazing higgs anchor rig or that I have to stay at speed. I can’t think of a single youtube video I have seen that explained any of it either. Either everyone expects new players to know what this specific game language means or they intentionally leave out all the important parts. I’m not sure which, but either way I was set straight today thanks to a lot of very patient people and a gank.
@Uriel_the_Flame you’re safe from me filing paperwork with concord to sue you. I appreciate all your advice and patience when I was being a jerk off again. Same with @Io_Koval , @MB_ThePhotographer , @Ax_l_Thorne , and @Raylan_Yutani ; I have lifted the ancient voodoo curse, and i cringe to say it, but thank you for ganking me and giving me the opportunity to learn.
I’d also like to thank my coach, my parents and God. Without them, this amazing team would never have come together and I wouldn’t have won the championship.
Hopefully this helps you understand that my ignorance of the topic was resolved by much better people than you.

and God.
Which one?
There is only one God, ma’am. And I’m pretty sure he doesn’t wear a cape.
Not a bad attempt but a bit too long (guess would be more fitting if was a spreadsheet of sorts ) and lacks the humorous aspect of the original where it presents the absurdity of the claim in an easy to understand manner. Only dedicated EVE players will understand this EVE variant but people without context (newbros, non-EVE players) probably not or not as much.
It is never a good idea to bring up real-life religious subjects. The mods had to purge like dozens of posts not long ago because of that and it is against the forum rules anyway. If anything argue about the amarrian God.

At any rate, we used to live without tether before, so it should be fine shouldn’t it?
Well, we also had pos shields, which are supposedly going away at some point. So, we could conceivably end up with neither.
Moreover, the nerfs to ganking mean that multiboxing is more important to ganker engagement profiles and profitability nowadays, and there’s a limit to how many gankers you can undock from an NPC station at the same time without losing any to facpo. So, the nerfs to ganking has made tether a lot more important to ganking.
Of course, this is not to say that I’m opposed to getting rid of tether. However, ganking would need to be buffed in order to compensate.
Well, I don’t know what your beef with Xuxe is, but +1 to that paragraph you quoted.
I was just quoting Captain America.
in the thread about ccp potentially changing community standards he was arguing for his right to be a dickhead on the internet under the guise of free speech, but also that he wasnt talking about free speech even though he clearly was.
the eula and tos we all agree to be damned i guess, do and say what you want and how you want, in his opinion.

Moreover, the nerfs to ganking mean that multiboxing is more important to ganker engagement profiles and profitability nowadays
This is something I realized soon after coming back. And I obviously dislike it as I don’t want to multibox anymore (yet I still multiaccount jeez…).
But that miners EHP buff and resulting indirect nerf to ganking might have been from the very start intented not to cater towards carebears, but to milk gankers more and force them to buy/PLEX more accounts. So I woudn’t count with any change here.
The main problem or rather reason why we have to multibox is that the DPS/cost doesn’t scale that well above destroyer. I assembled a polarized Thorax which was a good upgrade over catalyst with reasonable price (and still failed to solo untanked hulk in 0.5 with concord pre-spawned) however if everyone started using these, soon all polarized medium blasters would be gone and price of this fit would skyrocket. Same with hecate imo (not sure about stealth bombers, can they even perform well vs medium target? never learned these). Talos/Tornado/Oracle seems to me bit too expensive and you still need more of them anyway.
I would like to use “higher” ship class, but the concord time response system really prevents me from it.

However, ganking would need to be buffed in order to compensate.
I said it many times, remove this concord spawning/pulling. It is ■■■■ mechanic and will make ganking playstyle less nonsense and more enjoyable. And it will be quite a buff to the ganking, mainly towards solo opportunistic ganking where players can’t prespawn concord as they don’t know where they end up. It won’t be that much buff to the static gankers and big ganking groups who are already pre-spawning concord everywhere they will expect to gank.
