You can train up a Gnosis to have 400 DPS and 90K of EHP in just 14 days. I regularly use just such an Alpha alt to haul ammo, turrets, shields, yada yada in relative safety when my main account is wardeced. It’s got enough tank that it will get past most gankers. In fact I was surprised just how quickly I could get a good Gnosis up and running.
Question:
Mechanically speaking, how would CCP achieve this?
They would have to make said ships immune to damage that would trigger a CONCORD response. Just making them untargetable would not be enough when smartbombs could be used to destroy them without a target lock. Failing to factor in CONCORD would make ships potentially immune to damage in duels, wardecs, or from NPCs.
It seems like it could be done, but I still think it would be much better left undone.
Im SURE it could be gamed to have a fleet of unkillable Kestrels or something.

I have no doubt that invincible ships of any kind will be gamed. I’d be hauling all my expensive BPOs that way, had I not given them away already.

After we make frigates invulnerable, should we also make cruisers invulnerable?

I would haul thousands of PLEX back and forth (or just fly around casually) in an invincible frigate just for the sake of taunting them.

I made this for my Venture fit, I’ll use it to haul purple mods and a little mining when I am in the mood. It’s a billion isk, but a good investment for a free invulnerable ship.
