Marking ganking corps red in your overview.
Using D-scan.
Joining corps.
Using Lowsec instead of high sec pipes.
Setting up pings on gates.
Not using auto-pilot.
Aligning…
You have been provided with masses of counterfactual evidence…which you just casually dismiss as ‘irrelevant’. What kind of a debate is it where you alone get to decide what is or is not relevant ?
Utter nonsense. I’m as liable as anyone else to be ganked by Aiko and her crew. The difference is that I enjoy the cat and mouse and don’t go into apoplectic meltdown over the loss of a ship whose real life cost is about 2p.
Thank you for nothing I guess.
Nothing of that is AntiGanking Gameplay that allows players who would want to actively hunt criminals in HighSec to do so. I’d like to hear about efficient mechanics that would allow a gang of Antigankers to put real pressure on a Gankfleet.
Yes it is. You are not the adjudicator of what is true here. I can see why an increasing number are tired of you acting as though you are.
Anyway…must go…unlike you I’ve got some Eve to actually play ! How about you log in for the first time in 2.5 years ?
You asked for counter play for ganking not for how to make anti ganking work.
The idea of preventing ganking by blowing up the gankers might be fun but if you were really trying to make a dent in ganking then the way to do it would be to better educate those being ganked. In reality I don’t think there is much interest in doing that though because that would harm the anti-ganking playstyle as much as the ganking playstyle.
You want to know who is to blame for the prevalence of ganking? People not using even the most basic tools to protect themselves while flying blinged out ships.
Just because you are choosing to open up the interpretation of it to try and read something that’s not there I’m being unreasonable. Whereas I’m interpreting that with the knowledge/lens that CCP has specifically said gankers are safe.
This here is another example of you trying to discredit the individual while claiming objectivity.
Again please re-watch the video where they specifically said gankers are safe.
Until and if they do redefine what griefing is there is no objective way to claim anything other than they are working on improving the way they respond to griefing.
If he actually was serious he’d ask Githany Red, you know, the person who does what is apparently impossible on a regular basis.
Told you he was just baiting a response.
Lucas explained many times that CCP said they are going to remove ganking. I don’t know why you guys think a CCP dev knows more than Lucas.
I didn’t and you know it. My post was pretty clear about what the problem with current ganking is: The gankers hiding in invulnerability all the time until they open fire.
How are gankers invulnerable??
Haha, this thread is hell, and @ISD_Traindriver throws all the bad posters into the pit!
Evidently not that clear as I interpreted the question differently.
Then war dec the owners of structures they are tethered on? Gank the gankers scouts and tackles. Fly logi fleets as big as the ganking fleets on heavily ganked gates.
That same presentation defined “new player” as an individual who is under 30 days of age, and still part of the New Player Experience. Ventures in Isanamo do not qualify as “new players” according to the definition used by CCP.
You “forgot” the other half, the criteria for a rookie “grief”.
Again this doesn’t sit in a vacuum. They had a whole presentation on what they think is ganking and what is griefing. You know the one you keep referencing.
Hardly, they re-affirmed what has never been an acceptable gank target. Most of ganking happens to profitable haulers, orcas, freighters, transport ships etc.
That list has new players and veterans. So it relies on CCPs defenition of new player and unless there is new on that we are dealing with nothing more than supposition either way.
You know yourself that this isn’t a realistic possibility. The moment you wardec any of these station owners a blob allies step in granting protection to them and razing the structure you need to wardec them, laughing their asses off how stupid you are. Since the wardec mechanics are as stupid as they are currently, not an option, especially not for smaller groups.
The scouts and tackles are disposable alts and you would need commit a criminal act to kill them, so not an option either for law-abiding citizens.
LogiFleets are one option to protect targets (yet quite inefficient), but no way to hunt the criminals before they can gank at all.
Again if you want to fight the crime it’s a valid option to fight the causes of crime. Carelessness from the victims. Ask any friend in the military what would happen if they left their wallet sitting carelessly on top of a boot locker and it got knicked. Both the owner of the wallet and the thief would be punished.
Careless players have some responsibility in the amount of ganking happening.
If you aren’t big enough to take their structures down then you shouldn’t get a free pass on this.
I doubt this. As the most active ganker in the game, I don’t think I’ve ever shot a frigate coming through a gate, or talked to another ganker who did.
This is another example of Lucas saying things that aren’t true.
Setting aside that there are no figures backing up either side. If that frigate was being blapped then it was hauling something valuable so a hauler.
Frigates aren’t even the main gank target, let alone “frigates coming through gates”.
Lucas just makes things up as he goes.
