Ahh yea.
I was never a part of super big fleet battles yet. I’ve never lived long in null or whatnot. As a pirate, doctrine was pretty non-existent haha.
It was more group with whatever you got, someone using an atron to tackle and here we go.
Ahh yea.

Well, I’ll tell an amusing little story that shows why I changed…
Back when I first moved to AO headquarters late last year, I’d only ever been to lowsec twice and never been to nullsec. Then one day Governor Lee announced a fleet. My own first ever. As often happens in AO, nobody said where the fleet was going to…so I joined up, thinking it would be a nice little saunter round highsec, like a Sunday stroll type thing. Lol.
But…the fleet left highsec, then left lowsec, then entered a wormhole, and before I knew it I was in nullsec for the first time…in a fleet defending nullsec HQ from a huge attack by a nullsec alliance. Talk about being thrown in the deep end.
And that was exactly what I needed. And similar has occured since…such as my recent epic WH adventure. And it is precisely why noobs need to be shaken out of that docile sitting behind a mining laser all day and not listen to folks like Lucas who would ‘protect’ them.
I’d be willing to teach you 1v1 solo T1 frigate pvp. No tricks, or gimmiks on my part. Just good old fashioned frigate exploady goodness. And I won’t be an ass about it.
Let me know, here or in game.
I’ll take you up on that…though I am currently on ‘other duties’ as Altara ( and have wardecs, etc ) but I do clone jump back to Oipo now and then. Or I could use Cilla Cybin…who has a crap killboard anyway.
Actually there is something else my new alt wants training in…once they have T2 Catalyst skills in a few days
I mean…just to annoy Lucas even more.
Ahh yea. Learning that system to navigate around was wild when I came back haha.
Cool, thanks for sharing.
@Altara_Zemara zkillboard is a good source of intel. When I’m doing my roams in low sec and spot a potential target I’ll d-scan to get the ship they are in and pull up their zkill and
look at their win to loss. A really high with to loss tells me they pad their killboards with gate camps and blobs. A 50/50 ratio tells me they are competent pvpers. Check to see if they are solo or F1 blob monkies. That changes things. If they are blob monkies they probably choke and not do well in a solo attack, and probably more importantly
I’ll pull up their losses and look at fits for the ship they are currently in. What I look for are specifically if they use short range tackle so I’ll counter with kiting. If they are long range fit I’ll go in with anti-kiting. This depends on if they are in a plex, or in the belts too.
More skill points does not equal winning. More intel does. Low sec residents know this and live by this.
But that takes effort.
Nope…it is easier to just not give a damn what you think. Or even whether you do !
I find it so confusing that you take this tack as well. Not only does this statement show you don’t understand ganking, but that you also don’t understand the game ROFL.
Why is it if you gank once, then in your eyes you must do it 24/7 in EVE forever? I ganked for the lulz, because I cannot gank for profit, or not solo anyways.
The beauty of EVE is I can gank for a bit, rat for a bit, roam for a bit and fit out ships, all in the same session.
We’re in a sandbox bruv I don’t plan on limiting myself like you
Yes sir
Which she can. That’s the beauty of a sandbox innit bruv? She can decide what her in-game goals can be.
Yennoe, I love when you ragespew :D. Like you see peeps enjoying the game and it just grinds your gears.
Its so obvious that you hate those who take joy in the game. So much so, you became a reefer
Also, ganking doesn’t need a nerf
Indeed…that’s how I got the excellent fit for the 1100 DPS Mega Laser Praxis I had a prang up with in lowsec. I have that same fitting on one now.
When you see they have gotten a lot of kills with a particular ship and very low loss, nab it. I’ve swiped some excellent ship fittings that way.
The pulse fessy is my most favoritest tactical destroyer!
His entire view is self-contradictory. If kills and losses don’t matter, then his pet noobs can simply get a new Venture by re-doing the missions. The ONLY reason being ganked would matter would be if losses mattered. Lucas wants to have it both ways…Aiko is correct that he tries to run several veins at the same time. That is how he convinces himself he is correct all the time…as he’s oblivious to contradicting himself all the time.
I’m into whatever has the highest DPS combined with the best tracking. Its often a tossup between range and DPS and other factors. The flip side is…I have a Ferox with a range of 160km…but low DPS ( 300 or so )…but then again with that range one can do a lot of damage while anything tries to get closer.
That is the down side. And annoying. But the range on them lazzzzors and the insta-swap can really change tactics.

Those fessies have crazy tracking, I use beams on them too, they work very well even against small targets at close range. The fessie and the jack I’d say those are the first significant goals any omega rookie should set for pewpewing
Also, ganking doesn’t need a nerf, because it’s part of the game and the experience.
Doubt.
You were hitting it pretty hard earlier being passive aggressive and trying to get me upset.
The whole creativity thing and now competent players don’t use zkill.
Bro, you’ve been having a tantrum all day.
Well snipe fits trade damage for range, hence why you need a fleet of them.
Feroxes/rokhs are good in fleets for long range defense. You can actually fit Rokhs and hit pretty far out with blasters and null too.
Oh I know. I do like the proph. I can fly almost any empire ship up to BS at least. Just amarr has never tickled my fancy. Was using those free BPCs to try stuff out LOL.
Cool bruv But if you don’t gotta say you aren’t angry…
I use jackdaws for anoms, pretty good ship.
I know and it is delicious.
I wonder if he knows what’s actually happening here ROFL.
Also ganking doesn’t need a nerf
I spend a lot of time just sneaking around Eve in a shuttle. All over the place. Just gathering info. Its amazing how every system has a different signature. Systems even become predictable after a while. I know pretty much exactly what will likely happen in Litiura, or in Isanamo, etc, etc. I know Eba is completely empty 99% of the time ( surprising for a 0.9 system ). I know the safest route back from Amarr to Oipo is to go via Sarum Prime first. Hundreds of little nuggets of info that you only get by actually going to places. Its also how one avoids gankers.
