New mining sounds

These new mining sounds when finishing a cycle are so bad, they are louder than anything else in the game. Has anyone been able to find a way to remove or mute them? Or at least lower the volume a LOT relative to other sounds? The crit one doesnt bother me much, just the crunching sound.

This is so bad it will make me quit the game, the only alternative is playing EVE muted which ruins any immersion

Yeah - they’re dumb AF, especially as gas huffing makes exactly the same sound.

Even when the windows are out of focus and you’re fully zoomed out.

I simply have to now mute the clients that are mining/huffing.

Finally, two people who are not deaf.

You can suppress them by lowering down the UI sound level, but you lose the sound of many things like (d-scan pulse, cargo full ding, the new scanning thing for miners, etc…).

Settings >> Audio Engine Settings >> Volume Level >> UI Sound Level

There is a conversation about this:

Thank you for the tip! Missing all the other UI sounds are annoying though, I hope they introduce a separate slider soon

Misophonia is a common condition where people can become violently ill and panic when hearing sounds such as eating, munching, slurping, swallowing and mining on EVE.

It triggers a fear response for fight-or-flight when hearing such sounds.

CCP may as wel introduce strobe lights that trigger epilepsy and make it so you can only disable it by turning off your monitor - this is quite series, it is a serious condition and something very hard to live with,

Now I have to mute the whole ■■■■■■■ game to avoid feeling like throwing up or smashing the computer, thanks CCP, ignorant fucks, ■■■■ this sound makes me want to vomit!!! No more mining for me, after 14 years!

Wait for my solution to this problem… Real-time noise cancellation with deep learning I’ve already developed everything, I just need to test it (but first I have to extract it from my brain without losing my implants).

I am playing with the UI sounds off now like suggested above, but it really ruins immersions cause now I just sit there in complete silence with no noises at all

Please put everything back the way it was. These sounds are breaking my brain.

This - please, for the love of baby cheeses…

I’ve recently had to reset my settings to solve a bug (surprise surprise!) and as a result got to hear these for the first time. I guess I had turned off my UI sounds for something else in the past - almost forgotten even makes a noise when you’ve got a timer or whatever.

For the love of Zarquon please give us more options to adjust this and other sounds so we only hear what we want/need.

Bump!
For a change… :ear: :landslide:

yeah - it’s dumb AF - wait until you try huffing.

Whoever signed off on that one needs a special star.

Thank you - appreciate making the changes.
