As far as I know there’s no way to mute it without losing other sounds as well…

Yeah - it’s really bloody annoying - also does it gas huffing, which is just stupid…

Please make it an option to turn off.

I like the rock noises a lot. And FYI, lazers don’t “reload” cause they use no load of anything. The rock noise happens at the end of each lazer cycle.

This sound is truly annoying. Please remove it from the game forever.

2026 and it’s still making that ridiculous noise - gas huffing simply reminds me how dumb the people are that let this get published.

You think I’m dumb for pointing out that something has been poorly implemented and that shows there’s a lack of QC when it comes to something within the game?

I’ve previously given reasonable argument as to why it’s dumb and not in line with other implementation of environmental sounds - I’ve also been balanced in praising 99% of the rest of the game as it is brilliant, this is why it’s all the more disappointing that something so small is annoying quite a lot of people, not just the noise, but the fact it hasn’t been properly thought through.

Honestly, it’s been a few months and I like to have sound on EVE when I multitasks, but now I have been forced to mute all sounds because of the continuous rock sounds. I like to listen to music or watch YouTube while I am mining. Some sounds nice when I know mods reloading or cargo full if I get distracted, but why a simple sound that CCP can just remove?

So whats the ETA to have this fixed?

Ui sound to 0 turns it off its dumb

Personally, I like it. But having a slider for it would be better. Is this not part of “atmosphere”?
