And they even can boosh fleet out of danger xD
You doubt mining could be made more interesting? I don’t think we’re talking about the same thing here. When I say “There’s a lot that can be done” I mean there’s a lot of ways you can spice up a t3d kind of mining barge. There just are. Would we need it? You could have a discussion about that. Could it be done? Absolutely.
And yeah, you have a point, there are shades of gray between those two extremes. Just saying the last patch has only decreased the options available to making mining viable without multiboxing which I think is something we can both agree on
T3 modular industrial? replicates through swap-able modules the current diversity of specialist cargo (although maybe not quite as good), plus some extras maybe:
Ammo, Minerals, Ore, PP, Moon Ore!, Moon Goo!, Reactions!, Components!!..etc
vOv sorry, Im coming up blank on that one.
How so?
ITT:
A miner asking for a t3 mining ship …
… likely seeing himself mining in it …
… afk …
… watching youporn netflix.
Yeah, we totally need more expensive afk ships getting blown up …
… and more people whining about getting blown up while watching youporn netflix.
friendly reminder to the OP that T3s are not just buffed ships of lower tech level, but actually feature “adaptability” gimmick. For strategic cruisers it’s subsystems, for tactical destroyers it’s tactical modes
sooo You want something like mining ship you assemble from subsystems and subsystems you pick will determine if it’s fleet booster, miner or what?
Honestly the only new thing mining ships need is porpoise exclusive gas drones, and perhaps a dedicated high capacity gas hold or even gas compression.
Currently it’s a bit wasted in command of gas miners compared to bringing another huffer and gas mining is a high protion of resources gathered in its natural environment of wspace. By making it the most efficient gas mining booster by doing double duty as a booster and premier huffer it would fit its intended niche as a wormhole/ninja mining booster a lot better, and people would have more of a reason to undock it than the occasional c13.
What would a T3 ship even do for Indy?
The entire premise of T3 is basically acting like a Swiss army knife so you have a response to almost and every fit requirement. That doesn’t even work with Indy. Unless you want a mining barge that can switch on the fly between ice and mineral and gas mining? But even still, you can do that just with a mobile depot or an orcas fleet hangar…
