Excuse me, what? Playing so many games, never seen some odd requirement like that.
Went to Windows 10 Time Settings, clicked button which nobody ever in the word click - “Synchronize your clock”:
I guess you’re using the multi-factor authentication for EVE that uses an authenticator token?
It makes semi-random tokens based on the current time, so if your authenticator (mobile phone with the app) and the machine are out of sync they get mismatching tokens so you cannot log in. If none of your other games use this form of MFA that would explain why none of your other games depend on your PC’s time synchronization to log in.
In those settings you shared, have you tried turning ‘set time automatically’ off? Maybe that allows you to ‘set the date and time manually’ and then click synchronize. Or keep looking for solutions online as this is a Windows problem rather than an EVE problem.
If you cannot manage to fix this Windows issue, I can think of a way for EVE to circumvent the problem:
Turn off the Authenticator.
Go to https://secure.eveonline.com/account (This requires you to again use the authenticator to log in, so try opening the web page on another device like your phone if your PC fails)
Probably, yes. I started played eve like ~month ago and downloaded and logged in through Steam. I remember that I did’nt create any Login Passwords, just clicked “via Steam” icon.
This time same PC and everything, just fresh Windows10 reinstall, I don’t know what’s wrong this time, then it worked without issues, this time it does not…
With that I succeeded yesterday, login to Eve Website is successful(as you can see I writing this right now on this forum).
