Perhaps a Ganker Alert app can be created and then inserted one the games folders. Many years ago, I used a local alert app that I could set, based on security status or standings. If a Capsuleer with a -10 sec status came into Local, a sound would play. If the same Capsuleer’s corporation or alliance was set to - 10 standings, another sound would play.

I’m not certain if CCP allows such programs any longer, but it would be nice to have a similar app that you could set sounds to for, standings, security status or ship type. The ship type would come in handy for setting alert sounds for Freighters, Orcas as well the primary ships used by the gankers.

The only real way to defeat the gankers are, using Vorton weapons on fleets of 5 to 6 cruisers, and or an audible alert system.

The alert system could also have sounds set for ganker ships whenever they come grid, that might give you enough time to warp out, that is unless the gankers have a neutral ship that scrambles your ship.

Non-gankers obviously do need some type of audio warning system, it’s the least that can be afforded to miners and mission runners when the gankers have an infinite number of gank ships and nowadays, almost every Null alliance has a Gank squad that it runs from time to time.

Look, I have enough of an education and Real World experience to understand what griefing is.

You’re obviously profiting from ganking or enjoy griefing people yourself.

The game was designed and marketed with multiple play styles in mind. Forcing your play style on someone else and then berating them at every turn is griefing.

If “mining salt” is your primary reason for playing a game then you obviously have a screw loose. It’s classic anti-social behavior and I pity the people that get off on it.

I’m American, so I apologize for not being 100% on the meaning of that phrase. I assume it means: [image] I’m willing to step back, take a fresh look at the bigger picture, and reconsider how I approach the subject. I would much rather make friends than enemies.
