Open Letter to CCP

Ugh, did you really need to quote the WHOLE THING and make the rest of us scroll past it all again?

I totally agree. It cut the discussion…

Flagged as vandalism.

You haven’t shown it to be a matter of fact - as I pointed out, that is your assumption → true or not.

Another factor that you did not consider is the current war. It will be interesting to see what happens after that ends!

Yes I really needed to do that. If I didn’t need to do it I wouldn’t have done it.

And I only quoted that much to drive the point home: that he had too much time on his hand but I see that humor isn’t welcome in these forum.
My bad. I’ll turn off my humor when I log in here.

There isn’t anything constructive about re-posting the entire wall of text. Especially since the forum does not have functional ‘skip to the end’ buttons to get past individual posts, and the scroll feature on mobile is a joke. It’s common courtesy to not wall-of-text people needlessly. You could have easily replaced the body of the quote with ‘WALL OF TEXT!’ and still made your comments.

Ok, sure. That works too. I just didn’t think about doing that. So kill me.
I guess next time I’ll create a thread to ask YOU how I should post a particular answer, lieutenant commander Tiragen sir o7

I raised a valid complaint, and when you challenged it, explained my reasoning behind the complaint. If you can’t handle that without feeling personally attacked, maybe posting on an internet forum is not for you.

Never mind that. I’m old enough to know what’s for me and what isn’t, Lieutenant Commander Tiragen Sir.
As a superior, your complaints are always valid, Sir, and far from me to disobey a direct order from a superior officer o7

Even simpler than starting a thread to ask for your approval, I’ll simply stop quoting period.

///EDIT: checking if posts are direct-linked after edit/// Well…for some posters prone to editing their OPs to fit their evolving narratives (i.e. Balos types) quoting their entire post establishes a record they can’t weasel away from by editing it a bunch.

Granted that is one long OP, and indeed a bit irking to scroll past that internet doctoral disertation, but I’m actually kind of glad to have it fixed in place.

Are you sure it’s not directly linking to the respective posts’ texts?
Can you edit this first part of your post a bit, so we can see if it trickles down into quotes?

Edit:
Well, you didn’t actually edit the text, you just moved it … but I guess that counts.
I remember a time when this was different, or maybe it was ISDs adjusting quotes.

Thanks!

It may be removed by the Unacceptable Posts Police.

Gotta be careful how many words you quote or the scrolling impaired will have a fit.

I’ve read shorter books. Too long.

Have “open letters” from random players in a game’s forum ever really worked?

I don’t know what’s got less chances of being noticed and listened to, these kind of open letters or a US sovereign citizen explaining the “law” to a judge in court.

The ideas CCP have about gameplay are not up to discussion by players before introduced. Mostly because there is conflict of interest between part of players and CCP when it comes to incentives underlying the changes.

Open letter will not work with this.

I’m sure they did when the person actually had something intelligent to say …
… or a good cause …
… and other people, including CCP staff members, actually agreed on it.

But I wouldn’t know.

d) Players do not risk averse in majority, they are invincibility averse.

Thank to CCP to have read this chapter. I hope to see the perma cloacky nerf next year!

EDIT: for the survey you send to me in mail , my answer is here.

It’s not like you’d make a constructive reply even if he did eyeroll
