Pamirasu (new Caldari career system) is 130+ AU across and leaves newbies stranded half warp

Pamirasu is one of the 8 new career systems and it’s HUGE, massively more so than any other career system. For experienced players with better understanding, skills and ships that could be seen as “a bit annoying” but for a newbie with no clue, crap skills and flying starter ships they can’t actually complete the warp and get stranded half way. I’ve checked all new career systems and most of them are around 20AU, including the other new Caldari location, only Kanta is around 65AU but that’s still warpable so it’s not an actual issue. There’s a gate 160AU away from the station, let that sink in.

And it’s not just that the system is large, the missions generally are ~120AU away, with the occasional 97AU or so. So you have a newbie who started playing an hour ago, made it to the career agents following the “click warp to mission” button and ending up where he needs to be, and because the game decided that his career system is Pamirasu rather than Aldoras he now ends up in the middle of nowhere for each mission he does, back and forth, with no idea how or why.

I’m sure the Reddit brain “Ackchually” people will come up with these amazing reasonings and explanations as for why this is fine, which can simply be countered by “the other new Caldari one is 20AU, and the old ones are 15-30AU” so don’t even go there.

There is no reason for it to be this way, all this does is make it more difficult for newbies. This is an FC self own, please fix.

I remember this happening to me in game when I first started to play. I just could not figure out what had happened, what I had done. As you wrote, I was “stranded”.

It was very confusing. Very confusing.

I agree this should be corrected, because I cannot see how a bunch of new players could possibly be expected to deduce their ship “stopped” because of the size of the system, at this stage in their EVE career.

This would just be frustrating and entirely unintuitive.

the very important lesson here, is to

read the pop-up when you initiate warp. the one that says “~there is insufficient power to warp the entire distance, warping as far as capacitor allows”.. you failed to read it. so did this guy:

these same people are the ones that complain they die because they click-thru one warning or another. you’re removed from the gene pool, and humanity is better for it.

Ackchually this is a good reason for newbies to train Warp Drive Operation levels!

… but yea maybe the starting systems in Exordium shouldn’t be this large.
