To Encourage Cooperation With the Minmatar Tribal Republic and New Eden Common Defence Initiative With Respect to the Drifter Hives
This Petition has been submitted to the Federated Union of Gallente Prime’s Federal Citizens Initiative, as a complementary component to other petitions regarding the same topic.
BACKGROUND
The Federated Union of Gallente Prime (“the Federation”) failed to secure a foothold within the five Drifter-occupied wormholes during the counter-offensive phase of the recent Drifter Crisis, despite a successful defensive effort to protect the citizens and member states throughout the Crisis. This exclusion from the Drifter Hive expeditions currently undertaken by our counterparts in New Eden leaves the Federation at an intolerable disadvantage, which must be remedied as a matter of urgency.
The Drifter Summit of YC127 concluded with a resolution, promoted by the Minmatar Tribal Republic (“the Republic”) and the New Eden Common Defense Initiative (“EDENCOM”), to facilitate the sharing of technology and collaborative research efforts. Federation interests, represented at the Summit by Commander Edward Adams (Federation Peacekeepers), and Captain Quinn Rhodes (Clockwork Angels), aligned with the resolution of open collaboration and mutual innovation.
As a significant and influential proponent of interstellar relations and diplomacy through multilateral institutions, both internally and throughout the CONCORD Assembly, the Federated Union of Gallente Prime has a unique opportunity to position itself as a reliable and powerful partner for those willing to accept Federal assistance.
THEREFORE
We, the Undersigned:
Expressing grave concern that the Federation is currently excluded from involvement with the ongoing operations against the Drifters, which represent a clear and present danger to the Federation and its people,
Understanding that the best way for the Federation to be involved in the continued campaign against the Drifters is through entering into a coalition with like-minded entities, as a proponent of international cooperation,
Heeding the responsibility that the Federation has in protecting its citizens and member states through proactive and agile decision-making in their capacity as their interstellar representative, and
Acknowledging the Federation’s current disadvantageous position with respect to the Drifter Hives, and the risks inherent in not taking urgent action to remedy said disadvantage;
Call upon the Federal Government of the Federated Union of Gallente Prime to:
Extend offers of assistance to the Republic and EDENCOM, pledging aid in their endeavours within the Drifter Hives they have secured (“Liberated Barbican” and “Sentinel MZ,” respectively).
Seek dialogue with the Republic and EDENCOM for the purpose of establishing Federation participation in their respective Research and Development programmes with the aim of mutual benefit.
We, the Undersigned, urge the Federal Government to immediately undertake all best efforts to enter into diplomatic dialogue with the Republic and EDENCOM, in the spirit of mutual cooperation pursuant to the above two objectives.

The Gallente Federation should resume it’s elections if it wants this to be considered, as it stands right now, it’s not legitimate government. Just my 2 ISK.
As a neutral party and with the best intentions for everyone involved,
We praise the Human effort and future collaboration that is sure to come from this initiative,
Many scientific discoveries, advances for all to partake in,
Shared Strugles and triumphs lay ahead.
Let today be the Seed from which mutual trust and prosperity Grow from,
Under the omen of the Barbican sun.
Forgive me for being a bit of a wet blanket tossed onto the kindling fire of brotherly love and cooperation, but this seems like an entirely self serving gesture from the proponents of the Federation.
Let’s remember that this is the same Federation that has seen fit to postpone it’s own elections with no date in sight for the resumption of one of its core pillars. The same Federation that has chosen to distance itself from its one-time allies; allies whom have now outperformed it. A Federation run by an administration that has seen fit to ignore interstellar law and treaties that it’s signed, AND circumvent the will of one of its client states, in the naked authoritarian powergrab that was the seizing of the Intaki home world. I could go on, but my point has been made.
Would we be seeing such calls for cooperation had it’s rivals in the Amarr Empire or the Caldari State failed to secure a foothold in the wormholes? I don’t think so, and even if we did those calls would be quickly censored by the current warhawk administration. On top of that, this measure is being pushed by two organizations who are a part of a Federal government sponsored privateer war in which their comrades in arms had a documented hand in helping the Triglavians sieze multiple Caldari highsec systems during the Invasion? Yeah, no thank you.
It’s smart, really it is. Let your rivals put in the work and sacrifice the lives to gain the benefits, then ask your erstwhile friends to hold the door open for you while you slither in. I do have to applaud how devious it is.
Our friends, sisters and brothers in the Republic and EDENCOM have extended their hands to us in friendship and we should consider ourselves fortunate and return that favour in kind. Agreeing to their resolution of collaboration, putting our combined resources together for a common goal, that not only benefits the Federation, it will also show New Eden that when it comes to peaceful cooperation, that’s what the Federation stands for, once more and can be counted on.
The same Federation that signed away their Republican allies and spat in the face of CONCORD international law to pursue their egregious criminal ventures being petitioned to now leech off those same entities?
Shameful, but I would have expected nothing more.
I hope the powers that be within CONCORD and the Republic see this for what it is, thinly veiled parasitism from a rogue nation.
On behalf of the Ribbit. alliance I’d like to inform that Council of Toads was convened in Vlillirier to deliberate on this crucial matter. After short discussion, the petition received unanimous RIBBIT from those in presence.
The Federation Front Line Alliance Stands With the Federal Citizens Initiative
To the citizens of the Federation, the heroes of the Luminaire system, and the brave souls fighting for freedom across New Eden, hear this call loud and clear:
The Federation Front Line Alliance (FFL) your unwavering vanguard on the front lines of the Caldari warzone, fully endorses and supports the Federal Citizens Initiative to establish cooperation with the Minmatar Tribal Republic and EDENCOM in the fight against the Drifter threat.
Let there be no doubt: the Drifters represent a clear and present danger to the Federation, and any opportunity to turn the tables on these shadowy invaders must be seized with unrelenting resolve. The Federation has bled for freedom, fought to defend the dreams of our citizens, and it is time we stand shoulder to shoulder with those who share our vision of a just and liberated cluster.
We cannot, and will not, allow Gallente science, innovation, and firepower to be sidelined while others harvest the spoils of the Drifter Hives. Let the Minmatar Republic know that we are ready to assist. Let EDENCOM understand that the Federation’s resolve is unbreakable. Let the Drifters tremble, for the Federation is rising and we will not stand idle while the future is stolen from us.
We urge every Federation capsuleer, corporation, and alliance to rally behind this cause. The time for action is now before the Drifters gain another inch, before the Federation falls further behind in the race for survival.
Fly free or die trying.
The Federation Front Line stands united.
Signed,
The Federation Front Line Alliance Command
Frozen Fallout, Executor
Considering the recent… decisions by both the Gallente Federation and the Minmatar Republic, I don’t quite see much luck, but capsuleers do often have some limited sway on public opinion.
If nothing else, I’m sure this will be cause for an interesting election once those are re-instated.
I’ll be… watching with curiosity from MHC-R3 and Solitude I suppose.
It is well-known that empires that lose technology races also risk heavy losses on other fronts - socially, economically, and on the battlefield. As citizens of the Federation and the leaders of a capsuleer corporation pledged to the Gallente Militia, we see an alarming vulnerability in the Federation’s current position. May this petition provoke our leaders to take action to bolster our research and technology for the betterment of all.
On behalf of Aideron Robotics, we offer our support to this petition.

I support this initiative. This technology must come to the benefit and mutual advancement of all people in the cluster. The concentration of power into the hands of the few has seen disastrous consequences in the past by forces too selfish and immature to wield it. The welfare and well-being of all in the cluster must be prioritized. I encourage the Minmatar Republic, EDENCOM and Gallente Federation to work together, as they have in the past so well, for a brighter future together. It is my hope that the Caldari and Amarr will look to their, all of our pasts, to see that cooperation must be the path forward. Is the path forward. This is not only for the betterment of the Federation, but for all people of New Eden.
The Drifters have shown they pose a threat to us all. Any seeking to fortify ones’ own at the cost of the rest is only delaying their destruction and sacrificing their moral, their self-respect, and ones’ trustworthiness. It will lead to their undoing, as much as all of us.
To that end, I support this initiative.

Rothar Luke.
