Originally we were discussing creating a joint alliance specifically for this operation. However the paperwork quickly became untenable and we just decided since it required less button pushes from me, PHX-O would just join EM.
As for why, well it actually started when we were assisting ARC with Hog Collective attacks. We found their corp hopping away from fights very dishonorable, so it has been a back burner plan to punish them for it ever since.

TBH, I see nothing either controversial or unexpected from this merge. Minmatars are already quite infamous for their affinity for criminality.
Besides, I donât see the status quo changing. EM are known for their disposition against the State and Empire - even while theyâre not our direct enemies, I believe when met in space they could be considered as one. PNO are a shelter organization for criminal groups, and in addition to that they has shown themselves as direct enemies of Amarr Empire (and by thus - of Caldari State).
Now theyâre fighting together⌠and what? Weâd have to deal with them one by one if they wouldnât unite their forces anyway.
You do realize EM is lead by Gradient, one of the oldest indie capsuleer corporations still in existence, right?

I am sorry, I misunderstood it then.
Itâs not all that surprising, Iâve witnessed plenty groups in this cluster sacrifice their dignity and beliefs to achieve success. Even with our soured relations, I do hope you accomplish whatever it is that requires working closely with dangerous entities.

I get what you are saying and I even sort of agree, but this also reminds me of something I already said in YC108 or so: if you are willing to give up your life and that of your tribeâs, but you are not willing to give up your pride and your honor, you are not a loyalist, you are a glory hound.
