PI Nexus - import-ready PI colony planner

https://evepinexus.com/

Most PI tools tell you what a chain is worth. This one lays out the colony and hands you the JSON, so the planning ends where the game begins: pick a product, a chain and a planet type, and you get a finished colony - extractors, factories, pads, links and routes - that you paste into the planet’s import window and build.

It runs entirely in your browser. No login, no ESI, no account, nothing sent anywhere.

What it does that the calculators do not

  • Import-ready templates. Every colony exports as the JSON the client reads. P1 through P4, all planet types, command centre levels 0-5, eight chains from P0 -> P1 up to P3 -> P4.
  • Nothing is ever stacked. EVE refuses to import a colony whose structures are touching, so the layout is checked against the game’s minimum spacing before you ever see it. This is the part a spreadsheet cannot do for you.
  • It knows what the game will refuse. A link over 1,250 m3/h names itself and tells you the level to upgrade it to and what that costs in CPU and power. A route through more than 7 structures is flagged in red - EVE builds every other route in the template and silently drops that one.
  • Sized to work, not to fit. Factory counts follow what the extractors actually produce and how often you collect, instead of filling the CPU budget with factories that starve.
  • It answers back. If the heads and the factories disagree, the planet says so in numbers (“the heads pull 20,000/h and the factories eat 24,000/h”) with a button that adds or removes exactly the factories that close the gap. Same for storage: “add 1 storage facility - lasts 63.8h”.
  • Drop-off runs. When the pads jam, in EVE time and local time, and the exact load to bring and to collect. Per hour and per collection trip, capped at what storage actually survives.
  • Ways to build this. For any P3 or P4, every split between what one planet makes and what a hauler brings, each one generated, costed and one click from being built.
  • Move things yourself. Drag any structure; CPU and power update during the drag. Crowding is shown, never refused - landing on a neighbour is your call.
  • Shapes, if you want your colony to look like a star, a ring, a spiral or the letters PI. Only the shapes that colony can actually take are offered.

Finding the planet

Proximity Scout scans every system within N jumps and lists their planets with types and radii - 8,490 systems and 67,693 planets, from a static data snapshot bundled into the page. No ESI, so no outage and no rate limit; a 4-jump scan takes under a millisecond. Jita at 3 jumps comes back with 489 planets across 59 systems, each with its security status and planet types. Click a planet to build for it, with its type and radius carried across.

What it does not do

Worth saying plainly, because it is the first thing people ask:

  • It does not watch your live colonies. No ESI, no SSO, no extraction timers for planets you already own, no pings when a planet goes idle. Several good tools do that; this one is for designing the colony before you build it, and for reworking a template you already have.
  • Your library lives in your browser. Clearing site data clears it, so export a backup from Setup first.
  • There is a Windows desktop version with the same colony engine, at GitHub - psychojf/Eve-PI: Eve PI dashboard · GitHub (MIT). The web version gets features first; the desktop one runs a version or two behind.

Credit and the usual disclaimer

The original inspiration was Razkin’s PI spreadsheet, which is what a lot of us learned this from.

Not affiliated with CCP Games. It does not touch the client, automate anything, or read your account - it is a page that does arithmetic and writes a JSON file. Feedback and bug reports are welcome; there is a link in the app.

Very nice builder is it possible to have the option to have storage for the interim PI EG P1 → P4 all outputs from factories goto Storage and the Advanced Factory draws from there?

Might just be me but I am never organised for anthing to run perfectly so this ensures there is no waste.

Hey mate thanks very much for your time
It already works that way…every factory output goes into a launch pad and the next stage draws from there, never factory-to-factory, so nothing jams or gets wasted. What you’re asking for on top is a dedicated Storage Facility as that buffer instead of the pad ??
