What do players think about a small buff to some of the Pirate battleships? Or maybe a line of Pirate Marauders?

No. It seems to me an unnecessary waste of development time and money.

If you can make a cogent argument in support of your request, rather than ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if…?’, I’ll certainly give it a look, but as QG has pointed out, what we currently have is either up to the task or capable of setting us a realistic challenge.

We already have ships more powerful than the current Pirate and T2 battleships. They’re called Dreads and Carriers. Train to those if you want more power.

‘Pirate Marauders’ would be a combination of pirate bonuses + T2 bonuses.

In EVE that’s considered to be completely overpowered. There do exist ships that combine pirate hulls with T2 bonuses:

  • Caedes - (Blood Raider CovOps frigate)
  • Chremoas - (Angel Cartel CovOps frigate)
  • Virtuoso - (Serpentis Bomber)
  • Raiju - (Mordu’s Legion EWAR frigate)
  • Imp - (Sansha’s Interceptor)
  • Whiptail - (Gurista’s Interceptor)
    etc.

Do you see the pattern?

These are limited edition Alliance Tournament reward ships, designed by combining T2 stats with a pirate ship line to have the overpowered stats matching the exorbitant price of such rare ships.

If we ever see a pirate Marauder it will be in the form of a new AT ship.

I want an AT hauler. The capacity and tank of a DST, with the speed and covops capability of a blockade runner. Because that wouldn’t be broken af…

Fun fact: combining two T2 ship types is also a way AT ships are designed: the Etana for example is a CovOps Logistics cruiser.

That’s combining 2 T2 stat blocks, not pirate and t2.

Angels Cartel warp bonus on a blockade runner or Sanshas AB bonus on a DST would be utterly broken. :grin:

I wasn’t suggesting “wouldn’t it be nice” - just positing the question. It sounds like the consensus is that Pirate Marauders would be too op and existing Pirate battleships are fine as is.

And yes, AT ships are a possibility - for all of the 25 people who might have access to one…

Serenity has a high-sec carrier; can we have that? :wink:

selling the prizes of the AT tournament as in-game items? The same applies to both servers. Wealthy players can fly around with AT tournament prizes that you can’t even imagine, and there are even more terrifying things than the AT tournament prizes—imagine a Drone T2 Battleship with a DPS higher than an aircraft carrier, which costs 2000 RMB (equivalent to over 300 USD).

Oh, look, that’s what I think of your suggestion here.

As for Serenity, they can keep their bad ideas over there in their hell hole, where we can use them as an example of what not to do with a game.
