And you sound like someone who can’t rationally defend the gameplay mechanic, so you lash out with ad hominem against anyone who speaks out against it. I’m guessing the reason why is that you really rely on this crutch to get around, and are afraid that if people bring enough attention to it, CCP might take it away from you.
No it’s because of your “because it hasn’t been labelled an exploit by CCP yet” which could apply to literally anything so it’s meaningless. The funny thing is that CCP actively re enabled this mechanic back when they accidentally removed it, making your “it’s an exploit!!!” even more hilarious.
I use it yes, just like I and everyone else use all the mechanics available to us. Just like you against your targets, who whine about it in the exact same way you’re doing right now.
Then I’m perfectly content with “crying like a carebear” about it until it gets taken away from you. That strategy seems to work really well historically, and why shouldn’t I use it if it’s available to me?
Well at least you know what you are now
An opportunistic, wardec ‘ally’ exploit grasping, mercenary calling out for ethical gameplay free from the use of exploits ? That could only happen in Eve.
I like how some of these guys are willing press forward with pure exploits only because it works in their favor no matter how ridiculous the argument is. Kinda like Brave having 10k people in a non war eligible corp by exploiting holding corps to avoid war… all the while being the most expensive to dec and the most capable of defending themselves as they scream to ccp about being the victims… its comical how dumb that logic is and yet the F1 monkeys line up to defend it. I wish all exploits were removed and not simply the ones used by people who “play wrong”. The fact is that certain exploits are permitted and others are not. And the reasoning behind that judgement is obvious.
That’s a whole lot of edits where you removed the “cloak/mwd is exploiting”, amongst other oopsies.
There is no actual proof of it being an exploit other than “I don’t like it” and “technically CCP could deem anything an exploit at any time”. There IS however proof that they actively reinstated it after having it removed by accident, showcasing that they intend for it to exist.
Cry more.
erm yeah, i made it shorter because it was useless to say. make a valid argument? Nah, you cant. Thats why we are speaking about trivial things now. yer pretending to be stupid and I dont think you are. You think the MWD/cloak trick was the idea the devs had when they sat down and programmed it? lol thats ridiculous. They sat around and literally said… yes cool we want a Nestor to be able to use this to travel. lol. We want to make MWD and cloak work like this because Rattlesnakes need it so they are safe from combat. Thats exactly why it exists right? Because if it that conversation didnt take place and the outcome wasn’t intentional… hmmm i wonder if thats an exploit? The fact is that the use of it was not intentional and they have no intention to fix it or label it an exploit because it works to the benefit of the only players they care to benefit.
When do we go back to singing Disney songs
That’s not what I said, don’t straw man. It also doesn’t matter if that is what they did or not.
It existed, then they made it impossible as they removed the ECM/cloaking trick which they DID deem to be problematic. Several days later they made it possible again but the ECM/cloak trick remained impossible, clearly indicating it was removed by accident and thus showcasing an ACTIVE CHOICE AND ACTION FOR IT TO EXIST AND WORK.
Case closed.
We agree then. Its an active choice to allow an unintended exploit to exist because it works to benefit the people who dont play wrong. I dont care if it exists but im not gonna pretend to be ignorant. Thats the only difference in our views… you make the choice to pretend, I dont.
So according to you any emergent game play options that aren’t designed from the start by CCP are thus by default “unintended exploits”. Because you don’t like this one.
You’re hilarious and wrong. I’m not going to waste any more time on you because so far your takes have been terrible, not just in this thread.
Solid reasoning… because I dont like it. Makes total sense. I guess that means I can use scripts and input broadcasting now because it works in my favour. Solid logic bruh.
What can I say except, “You’re welcome”
For the tides, the sun, the sky
Hey, it’s okay, it’s okay
You’re welcome
I’m just an ordinary demi-guy
People need their crutches. You can look around and instantly see which of these people are one line in the patch notes away from posting a “this game is no longer playable, bye” quit thread in GD.
It’s kind of like stat-padding. The very first death threat I got in a video game was when I was playing Battlefield 2 as a kid. I ran into some players in a corner of the map, killing and reviving each other over and over again to farm experience points. They raged pretty hard as I was standing there taking screenshots and making fun of them. Later I went and posted it all on the Gamespy forums, and they actually found it, came in, and started threatening to find and kill me and my family, calling me the n-word, et cetera. Since this was 2004, and social media wasn’t bending under the yoke of morality police moderatorship yet, no one did anything about it. But people laughed at these guys pretty hard, and they actually stopped playing on those accounts.
It wasn’t an exploit, you see. Until one day it was. The player count bumped down quite a bit that week. The exact same thing happened when Planetside 2 came out, but there it was addressed much quicker. Some players raged pretty hard when they implemented mechanics that prevented “cert” farming in this manner. I remember running into these stat-padding groups, and they raged super-hard when getting called out.
But yeah, you can tell exactly who’d be fighting on the front lines and who’d be farming game points in some uncontested area with an alt account by the way they defend exploitative game mechanics from which they derive benefit.
So you’re saying that just because I’m a PvPer, I’m not allowed to argue in favor of ethical gameplay? You guys are trying to make this half-assed argument that I’m not entitled to this position because I myself am “exploiting” somehow, but none of you have provided any actual examples as to how.
I go out and solo-hunt war targets and suspects. I even under-ship for most of my fights. I don’t roll around with a group of 40 heavy battleships and shoot abandoned stations, and then post about it on the forums for months like it’s some kind of grand accomplishment.
There seems to be a lot of self-projection going on here. If any of you have any examples for anything I’m doing being an exploit, or anything remotely close to such, I’m all ears.
No. This game is impossible enough to play truly solo.
Again, no
If it was an exploit they would have left it inoperable…
Lol what is this guy saying
