Please CCP create a website or in-game tool to replace "Zkillboard" and "goonpraisal"

Zkillboard is free

@Bowser_Kane It seems like some people just don’t read. Your post is a request to CCP; nobody asked them to come in and validate you or tell you what’s right or wrong. Some people here think they own the truth and have the power to “validate” other people’s posts. And watch out, they might even accuse you of using AI, like they did to me in my post.

I get your point, and I understand forum dynamics, but in the EVE forums, you also run into a sort of “opinion mafia”. It’s the same 10 or 15 guys who seem to spend more time on the forums than in the game, and they’ll use every bias and fallacy in the book:

  • Gaslighting

  • Gatekeeping

  • Moving the goalposts

  • Ad hominem attacks

  • Appeal to tradition

  • False dichotomy

  • Straw man arguments

So, good luck getting anything positive out of the EVE forums. Same goes for CCP actually listening to users who are trying to contribute

Fly safe!!

I gave Zkill ISK for 6 months of ad free service. It’s pretty cheap and it was the least I could do to not see ads.

My adblock works just fine. But if it didn’t, I would pay. It’s perfectly affordable for every EVE player, new and old alike.

Mine do too unless I’m on my phone or work computer.

If you send me a billion isk, I will make your new killboard.

I’ll help.

I “think” it costs a little more isk to pull off something like that. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You’re right. They should pay her 10b

Or pilot license for everyone should move from 500 Plex to 600 PLEX (10 Eur to 12 EUR) so CCP will have resources to please a pilot who want to have his killboard shown on each screen as soon as he jumps into the system (even if this is a WH, so everyone will know which fleet is waiting on the other side).

That’s how a community grow

How about just creating your own zkill website

If there was no publicly available killboard then EVE would be pointless. I’d cancel my subscription the same day. I suspect a lot of others would too.

I mean…what am I playing a public and competitive online game for if not to have the result of that competition known to all ? If its not available…what is even the POINT of playing ?

While I do agree that there should be an unbiased kill board, (how to word this) I never considered my own stats in the satisfaction I got out of the game I guess.

I never even knew my stats until someone in the “old” forums asked me, “Who was I to even to even post?” Good question back then. Who was I? So, I looked myself up and was simply stunned by my stats.

And while I’m fuzzy now, spoiler alert, don’t bother to try and help noobs who won’t stick with the game anyway, had a 92% solo and 88% in a fleet.

So, the player who asked me that kinda shot himself and all who follow in the foot because I have not shut up since!

Also, since I tend to do a quick chk on who I’m about to engage, a kill board is a handy thing.

And maybe those who make the kill board got bored with the game, since it has changed so much, as to not see it worthy of the effort anymore? At that point, I would say CCP should step in and fill the hole they created.

Bring back Battleclinic?

Is that the one that showed what I killed most? Pods!

The stats are not just a personal prowess thing. They are also a nice history…a reminder of epic moments, silly mistakes, and so on.

On top of that, I often look up a persons stats before deciding whether to take them on. For example someone was hanging around at a gate in Kubinen, I looked them up and saw they had 10,000 kills in that system alone. I left them alone…so it did not become 10,001.

I do miss those times when we had multiple killboard sites. There was some variety and some of them prioritized different aspects too. Now it’s just 1 single KB, and I agree it’s boring. I’m not saying Fenris should make one, but seriously, some other parties should step in and develop this thing as well.

 I’m glad someone still does their homework!

But it still leaves the question, who should be responsible?

Well…its not like all the data doesn’t exist already anyway. And I can already see my own kills within game. Its just bizarre to me that CCP are not providing a service like Killboard…as despite all the disparagements of it from a grumpy few, they must know it is important to a lot of players.

Ideally, I should be able to click on any player in local and see their kills/losses…info I can either have at a basic level or drill down deeper. Not just useful for PvP one on one…but imagine also if one was easily able to see that Player X regularly transports expensive stuff about and has lost a few ships doing that. In fact, rather than having the current system of red status etc…one could have a series of tabs such as ’ this person regularly hunts suspects’…‘this person is a ganker’…‘this person often loses expensive cargos’…and so on. All at one’s fingertips !
