Please CCP create a website or in-game tool to replace "Zkillboard" and "goonpraisal"

Sounds like Pirate’s Little Helper

I think that’s too much info “in game”. I don’t mind pausing for a moment to turn to another screen to do that. Even on todays battlefields, there is still some lag.

Good point, that’s exactly what I don’t want. Some effort should be involved.

But if CCP ran it on a separate server similar to Killboard, one could have that open…with some sort of overlay to reference players within a system. No extra lag.

I did not mean in game lag, I mean even with today’s battlefield processing speed, some things still take time, not much buts it’s still there. Along with the element of human error. I just don’t want to lose the human element. You might as well just make the ship automated with that much info at a glance. You, yourself know how important doing your homework can be. Taking away from that effort would diminish the game to me at least.

What can I say, I like working hard for those hard kills!

They don’t provide it because player tools are vital for keeping players involved

If CCP provided in-house versions of pyfa and zkill and every single other tool that exists there would be little motivation for people to make things and hang around, i’m only still lingering around because i provide a site that people use, pretty sure i’m not the only one either

Kill boards exist in most PvP games. They make everyone believe they can get to the top 10 and make a name for themselves. They prey upon our ego.

In game, in our character sheet is a combat log. If you don’t like the web kill board, don’t look at it. I consult it before making a trip, it tells us where the action is and who is camping the gates. It also tells us what ships and fits are being used, when we want to engage with the FW or whatnot.

I don’t think FC has much control over zkillboard other than the code they offer. I don’t see how any webpage is making your life harder? Study of the player’s activity can estimate the next time they will appear online. Further more the meta data can tell you who is botting the PvP.

I think win should also be on the killboard. If 15 ships attack someone in an attempted gank and fail, that target pilot should get a killboard win listing all 15 pilots who failed at their job- including their fits and what they were flying. Since many targets (freighters) cannot fight back so never get credit for winning.

That would require a win mail in game, all the KBs do is take killmail data and prettify it.
There’s no engagement mails, and I don’t imagine it would be easy to implement them. But maybe you could make a suggestion and it might be added to the game, but given the success we’ve had with getting logi on the killmails I doubt it will ever happen.

Just imagine how the game would of evolved without the source to datamine pvp into perfection. And even today, if no datamining was possible. Even for the largest contributors, they could only mine their own fights and limitedly so, we could still be living year of 2013 in terms of progression.

Like if you dont immediately know whats the optimal taken all the variances, it takes that much more work.
