Why would you log on grid with anything?
because WHY ■■■■■■■ NOT??? If not for these utterly broken NPC. I’m constantly logging on with something on grid, doing logoff traps, logging out in a convenient spot and what not. Its just an example of why they should not be able to lock beyond their normal operational envelope in line with what we know from other ships.
Because changing aggro mechanisms are not additional computation cost. It’s literally just changing a priority applied to potential targets.
The difference is the frequency of the rats. There are MUCH less diamond rats active than old NPCs.
lol you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about.
You seem very hostile about NPCs for a toon so old. Maybe you should get out of the two systems you seem to loki camp in constantly and go find a fight somewhere else. Maybe join a group or alliance that can teach you not to rely on cloaky or log-off traps constantly.
Remember, you posted here. When you do, expect there are others that will not agree with you or have something to say or add. Don’t get all pissy because you don’t like it. Try something different. Stop relying on CCP to provide your content or blame them for interfering with it and quit attacking other posters for bringing up valid questions either in favor or opposition of you post. I asked a simple question and you got hostile about it.
It’s clear by your diminutive experience (kb aside) and hostile responses to others that it is you that is lacking something if NPC’s locking on you from a distance are an issue for you. No offense, but you sound like a HS carebear. Learn how to Eve better.
Simple solution: log off somewhere else that doesn’t spawn rats so when you log in they ruin your log-off trap, hunt a target instead, try something other than gate camping, or leave the system…or maybe, pop the rats.
I rest my case… angry are you? LOL So hostile… Keep in mind, it was YOU who posted on a public forum. Everyone has a right to comment. Don’t like it…don’t post it.
I did contribute a solution and/or option. If you choose not to accept it, that’s on you.
I want CCP to fix this broken garbage, I’m not for your stupid advice how to work around it, I know I can go where those NPC don’t spawn, I was able to figure this out on myself, *diot.
you don’t need to comment everything you see. Just keep out if you have nothing other than “learn to cope”.
I understand that. But you are attacking players for commenting on your public post. I asked you a simple question: “why would you log off on grid with anything?”. A simple answer without aggression would have sufficed. Insults were not required to answer it. I’m sure CCP totally appreciates your hostility and will take your “request” seriously because of it. All it does is removed any validity or importance to your request. You still continue to be abusive. Did I hit a nerve?
I know exactly what you are talking about with the NPC’s. It’s a problem for very few, certainly not me as I don’t gate camp for kills or log-off trap on an active grid.
Perhaps if you asked or responded like an adult as opposed to an angry child, you’d be taken seriously.
because logging at a gate or station grid makes sense in some situations, unless there is NPC on another gate 15000km away that locks me and prevents me from safe logging, which is annoying as hell and clearly a defective mechanic which was introduced at some point in time but was never fixed in aftermath, just like many other things.
Thank you. I agree, it can be quite annoying. CCP seems to break more things with each of their “fixes”. Seems a bit counter productive. I hope they address it for you.
Fly dangerously.
sorry for the insult. (Safe) logging at gates or other places is a nice method to surprise your prey, you should try it. (Which needs eyes to monitor a dfferent spot obviously)
Don’t worry, they can lock you up but they can’t hit you, so you should be safe and can go AFK or do whatever you normally do.
