Greetings, I joined Eve 27 days ago. The game is 90% similar to another one I played before. I like the complexity; I try to solve problems on my own and enjoy the learning process. I intended to create my plans, to create my ships with my modules, but when I go to create it tells me that I am missing the Industry 1 skill.
I have the skill researched to the maximum level. I requested assistance and in the meantime I bought the plans, but 19 days have passed… after searching for typical ideas for user error, one support gave up, then another appears doing the same procedure, and to be nice I send him the screenshot without industrial work for him to check and 3 days later he tells me that I have the complete work line, that I wait for him to finish to do the work, I mean, he didn’t even look at the screenshot, okay, I’m already angry and I come to ask the Community for help through the Forum
I’ll explain the diagnosis I made and show you screenshots. I think it’s very simple. If I try to create a plan, it tells me I’m missing the Industry 1 skill. There’s a button next to it that takes me to buy the Industry book. It doesn’t give me the option to buy and inject, and if I buy the book, the option to inject doesn’t appear, only to discard.
When you fully research a skill’s levels, it disappears from the list, but the Industry skill appears on the list, fully researched, but it’s still there. That gives me the impression of an error, a bug. I don’t think it’s injected, it’s researched, but I can’t find a way to fix it.
I appreciate all contributions, thank you very much in advance.
When the game tells me I’m missing a skill, I should focus on injecting it or studying it. Thanks to the help of the Forum, the final diagnosis is that it’s just a translation error. When it says habilidad faltante, it should say required skillhabilidad requerida no *missing skill *. I’ve already reported this to Support for correction so it doesn’t confuse more users. Thank you all for your contributions. Have a good flight. This post may be closed, archived, or even recycled.
The red lines around your input material is an indicator the material is not available for use.
This could be caused by not having the material at the station, or having it in a station container, or perhaps it’s still in a ship.
If the material is in a container you need to indicate that on the industry interface. That area should be on the upper right side of the Industry interface and is labelled “Input Material Location”, there will be a tiny upside down triangle to the right, click on that and a drop down menu will appear, you can designate the location there. There should also a corresponding interface below the “Result” photo to indicate where you want the finished product to be returned.
Although from the way your photos are cropped/snipped, it is difficult to determine if the “Input” and “Output” dropdowns are on your interface.
Edited to add this: If the input materials are available for use, the color blue appears instead of red. From the screenshots you’ve provided the problem appears to be the location of the input materials and their accessibility.
None of the pictures shows the game telling you that you’re missing a skill.
They seem to show you having the required skills.
As others have mentioned, the only error seems to be with the blueprints and material input. To which I can only add that you verify that the factory you have selected is the one where these things are located.
Edit to clarify. You can accidentally chose a factory that you’re not docked at when setting up the job.
I agree, but the materials are all in the station’s storage. I never leave anything on ships, and I don’t use containers. But that option doesn’t appear to me, at least not when I try to create, when I use my blueprints yes I agree, but all the materials are in the station’s storage. I never leave anything on the ships or use containers. But that option doesn’t appear, at least not when I try to craft. When I use my blueprints, it does. If I click “Start,” it shows me at least eight owner and location errors.
First of all, that says “Required Skills”, and you already have the skill. Second, I don’t see the blueprint in your inventory, where is it? You actually have to own it and have it at the station you want to build it. You can’t just build it by opening its info page and clicking “View In Industry”, it has to be in your inventory alongside the materials.
You need to bring about a situation where your inventory looks like this and then you doubleclick the blueprint.
