Proving Grounds Gameplay Policy Update

You can circumvent that by just using different squads of your alts.

Eve is a sandbox, so I can do what I want to win, and with respect to whatever win condition I feel like. In eve you can do whatever you want however you want. Who are you to say you have to edge case to be a real eve player.

“It is not avoidable without disrupting the efficiency of my grinding process”. Sorry, but your whining is pathetic and CCP should not be coddling you with this change.

No. It’s no harder to evade than harassment, the only difference is that harassing players have no practical incentive to continue harassment once the target attempts to leave, while flagging arena opponents has strong incentive to pursue and continue to attack. But apparently anything that gets in the way of CCP’s dreams of an e-sport arena must be banned and the competitors must not be inconvenienced.

idiot I am one of the reasons for these changes.

Yea for sure queing in a wormhole would be the best approach with tons of ships moved to the system by the entrence and that would for sure slow down queing by like 15 sec each which is not terrible since waiting time + match time would be at least 20x longer than that but yea.

As for the people saying they should just let people use their alts and collude, it is not really the spirit of competition “Arena” to do so, Arena is not eve its instanced Honorable pvp so I am glad CCP has rules up now.

And this is why it should be removed from EVE and anyone involved with creating it should be fired. Instanced e-sport arena nonsense has no place in EVE.

It is an Event for fun it wont last, If CCP made it a everyday thing then yea that would be silly.

This sounds like a very naive way of thinking, people that make mistakes should be kept so they don’t make them again (after wipping them into shape), if you fire someone then you have to bring in a new guy that will make the same mistake again, common sense.

I had a blast in this event, I participated in almost 100 matches and only once was there an alt who suicided.
When the devs post these threads they are looking for feedback, not whining about something so uncommon that it may happen in 1/100 matches. There isn’t one piece of constructive criticism in this whole thread or if there is it’s so buried in trash I can’t find it.
My alliance mate is in the top 5 and has not been experiencing any of these theoretical exploits everyone is so concerned about…
If you don’t like instanced pvp than don’t participate.

You must be new here.

Again, just because things are legal doesn’t mean they’re “right.” There is still right and wrong, even in a game like EVE.

A man got to have a code.

Now I know you are being ironical. You and Mike are just playing along.

There are good and bad characters in the fictional universe of EVE. Actions in EVE have no moral value from a player point of view.

Man, Id love to see the Goon Code of Ethics. Thats bound to be some solid meme-worthy reading right there.

Says the goon who’s motto is to ruin the game for others. LMAO. If not already, you lost the last bit of creditability.

CCP et al. these days.

Sure they do. There’s a player behind every character, and what that player chooses to do is based on his own views and moral code. I, for example, would never stab my allies in the back because loyalty is my #1 thing. Others would do it at the drop of a hat. All depends on the player.

I’ve spent most of the last three years trying to make the game better for others. Nice try, spanky.

Goons sure isn’t what it used to be.

Could not agree more. Full stop.

I’ll tell you what I’ll vote you for CSM going forward, also I was always on your side on that little blip you went through before I argued in forum to that effect.

Interesting you seem to be able to separate RL from ingame behaviour only if it fits your respective argument. If you think PvP should be all about fair wins and honor, you shoudn’t be with goons.
