Some are respectful, others not so much. I tend to think this goes along with “just cause you can, doesnt mean you should” yea we have the right to film them, and the ones who balk or threaten arrest do imo have something to hide.
Yes but rather than random members of the public and gimpfluencers milking engagement, I’d prefer there was an independent professional oversight body that did this sort of thing.
I don’t mean like an IA type thing, I mean either/or/both of:
A non-affiliated “officer” (trained as police but not employed by police) accompanying real officers on calls.
Always-on body cams with footage reviewed by the independent body.
That way no officer gets goaded into giving someone YouTube content, and no gimpfluencers get “disappeared” (deservingly or otherwise)
