What’s the difference? You can buy PLEX with ISK, then use the PLEX you just purchased with ISK to make the skin. Costs the same either way.
price of plex fluctuates. isk would be a set price that wouldnt change.
I think you’re splitting hairs here…
Closer to 20 patches without notes.
It was all a dream…
its almost like, maybe a test server that was open to all users to try these new things out first and work out the bugs before deploying to the server would be smart ???
give us our test server back ccp!
The test server most likely wouldn’t have helped in this instance.
absolutely it would have, a bunch of us could have tried out the skinr system before it was released and pointed out the problems with it before it was released like the lack of corp and alliance skins, lack of ability to share skins freely, and would have given us time to be critical about the fact that it cost WAAAAAAAAAY to much to make a skin in a game we already pay a monthly sub to. making people pay for cosmetics in a monthly subbed game is fkn outrageous! in a free game okay sure. or we could have pointed out the lighting bug or the pattern editing bug. test server was always great for testing out new additions to the game, but it costs money to run a whole nother server, and ccp doesn’t want ppl playing for “free” on the test servers or trying out fits in combat sites because now we gotta go in and find out the “hard way” some times and more exploding ships is good for ccp bottom line as its a massive isk sink. closing of the test server was bad for the game and the players and ccp in a roundabout way.
CCP = Credit Card Payments
So does your job just roll.out fully developed programs, or start small and build up?
with the support of testers??? alpha and beta tests??? maybe even some internal testers first too! which I’m sure there is very little time and a small crew of to maybe catch an obvious but admittedly small issue like the lighting bug or the pattern editing bug on saved skins, the bugs aren’t really the issue here that im bothered about, the main issue is ccp’s excessive and predatory practices of continually creating new ways to encourage money spending, this pattern started forming after CCP sold its self to Pearl Abyss who are the actual masterminds of the over monetization of EVE, eg. selling of SP / boosters. hypernet is another notable scam / predatory monetization mechanic. one that I will not and have not touched since its introduction, lets call it what it is, gambling, and I’m pretty sure its illegal in many countries and states.
CCP used to care about its games and its players, now all they seem to care about is the ISK. fanfest feels more vapid and hollow each year and just a form of lip service for the players and investors.
ccp and pearl abyss have slowly been sacrificing the spirt of the game to make more money, plain and simple.
That is nearly as good as Crap Code Productions.
I will agree they are working very hard on killing the spirit of the game. But I don’t see any way it could be possible they are making more money, with the direction this has been taking the last many years.
You know, they acknowledged the issue and had a fix the same-day. Not sure what any of the above really has to do with resolving this…
How original invoking pearl abyss, you got any other original yet meritless complaints? show us in a picture how the monacle was pearl abyss’s fault - or how it or any other vanity items ever mattered.
If you don’t want to spend money on items that contribute nothing to the way you plat the game, the solution is simple: don’t buy it.
