When server goes down ppl in abyssal get teleported out to the system they opened the filament in. Great way to test to see if you have enough dps by starting an abyssal 19 min before daily downtime.

Got just a notification in the notification window. I almost never check those. A server restart should be announced way more clear really. In other MMOs you got big messages in the middle of the screen 30 mins before and in the chat. Here only 5 mins before :S sucks to do Abyssals really.
If the server dies during an abyss run, you don’t die, when you log back in you’ll just be in a random spot in the system you activated the filament in. I know because it happened to me just this morning.
I think we lost those CCP Devs during one of its sales. Just like the DEVS that kept stuff simple to read and Do. Then again, from what I read CCP is being sold off again for underperforming. So, lack of quality devs equal the state we have today. Complicated winter events that are poorly coded, probably with A.I. tools knowing CCP. Lack of testing and rushed deployments.
Disconnected in Abyssal during a server reboot means your ship is safe though.

Are you new to EVE Online?
Well, it was never really a promise. They did have some success with downtime free maintenance and not needing to reboot daily, but nothing ever came of it. I’m guessing it took a back seat to other things and/or wasn’t (easily) possible with a 20+ year old code base.

I’m a big fan of all of these huge critical game-breaking bugs that seem to be consistently popping up on patch days now. How do they keep failing to notice that new features aren’t working? Do they even test their builds before pushing them to production?
CCPlease hire a QA team.

they would put it as a giant message, and people would still try to run them before the timer. It’s on them.
