This is such a load of bovine waste. CCP said that this kind of rubbish was not necessary anymore with the chat system changes. Yet, every time something breaks with the chat, the whole effing server needs to shutdown still. This is ridiculous. This is beyond dumb.

Can I get ship SRP? I was downtimed inside a lvl 4 I was salvaging and the mission is going to be full of hostiles that are going to tackle and instapop my Noctis. Also, why do I have to restart the mission when you do unscheduled downtimes?
Did you not see the multiple downtime approaching popups? I received three.
Had the experience of mining ice in wormhole space - tapping directional scanner for all those who might take advantage of the conditions. CCP reset belts as gratuity for the drama nay?

It’s not the length that bothers me, it’s CCP’s lies about the necessity of them. They boasted about how this outsourcing of the chats would make full server shutdowns for chat issues unnecessary. Yet ever since, every big chat issue always required a full server shutdown.

There are warnings before the DT happens so you can prepare for it.
It doesn´t matter why they have to restart the servers.
If CCP tomorrow decides to close the entire company there´s nothing you can do about it.
Take a deep breath, go outside, take a walk.. at least where i am the sun is shining.
And when you come back home all issues might be resolved and the game get´s on.
Also be grateful there is someone who can resolve those problems. Today is a “public holiday” nearly everywhere in europe at least.

Why should I be grateful for someone doing their work? This kind of error fixing shouldn’t even be necessary according to CCP’s boastful claims from the past.
I absolutely do not get this notion from grass-touchers that one should be grateful that someone does their job, especially after these people screwed up and not me.
