UPDATE 11:20 UTC: Work has completed ahead of schedule and Tranquility is now online and accepting connection.
Hi everyone,
On Monday, June 16 there will be an extended downtime while our partners perform routine maintenance on our network infrastructure. We have budgeted an additional 15 minutes of downtime for this work to be completed which means Tranquility should be online and accepting connections by 11:30 UTC.
Of course there is always the potential for delightful surprises to occur and in the event downtime needs to be extended further we will notify you here in this thread and on https://status.eveonline.com as soon as possible.
On the other hand if the maintenance concludes ahead of schedule we will bring Tranquility back up just as soon as we can.
Not complaining about the extended downtime—just noticed it mentioned partners were involved. That means one technical team is asking another technical team to do something.
Think of it like management trying to get IT to coordinate with other IT—and everyone shows up on time. This isn’t just herding cats. This is herding cats in a synchronized swimming routine… and one of them brought a laser pointer.
Now they’re asking for an extra 15 minutes. Honestly, that’s impressive restraint.
and they are asking for an additional 15 minutes.
