Hey guys,
i just took a look into EVE and want to get into it again after not having really played since 2009. I logged in and found myself in Jaguar in 0.4 sec with a stadning of -9,5. Having about 30 Million SP, mostly used for maxing out Assault-Frigs and Hurricanes (for the 2009 kind of meta) and about 25 Million isk in my wallet.
Did a lot of lousy pirating back then but now i want to be a good soul and want to get the most out of the game without being in fear of getting killed by a turret in highsec.
So where do i start?
First i would like to get a safe standing - is there a safe way to run mission or something to get my standing back?
Also i would like to get some ISK, to play around a bit and to get some ships
Or ist it better to start a new character at this point?
But what kind of ship do i start with now? In my Inventory i found my Jaguar, a Retribution, a Cyclone and some Arbitrators and a lot of guns and all.
I recall that i must have put a lot of SP into these kinds of ships, so they should work out quite well (2009-Style ofc). Which ship should i get fitted properly to start off with?
There is a standing service that can help you if you are stranded outside empire space, like if you are -9.5 with amarr, once we verify skills and standings. We can help get you above -4.99 with skills to enter amarr space or any space without getting shot
Extract your SP and make a new toon. You’re going to spend multiple billions of ISK trying to get your standings back to the point where you aren’t kill on sight.
Use security tags to repair your sec status. If you can’t afford it, then you can use tags to get it up part way and rat to get it rest of the way. It’s not that difficult, just takes some time and persistence.
Extracting your character SP will incur SP loss (you can’t inject the new charater the same amount of SP as extracted from your old one), and that will end up costing in billions as well.
What I would do in such a situation, was to go with tags + ratting if short on isk. And I would start a completely new character to train in parallel. This way you can already do some things in high sec until your main gets his sec status back up.
As for getting isk – plenty of options. Project Discovery is very profitable (especially if you get to Marshal BPC), albeit boring to do. PI is good passive isk. Other than that your imagination is your limit. Can do anything from missions to trading, industry, etc.
I’d say, just start with a new char (there’s three slots in your account), the old one still can be fun.
The new char has a nice standing, but few skillpoints - this can be an advantage, because the ships you lose are not too expensive. Just try and have fun.
