Yeah, the intention of that fit was exactly that: Survive a 100% certain gank, that in fact happened…
I tend to use a slightly more effective fit when I use it for missions… in many cases also
other BS like a Navy Scorpion is more effective than the Golem, bc Osmos still is a super risky
system and running a Marauder there that has zero tank fit is suicide…

Nobody cares about that. I know a b.s. ship loss when I see it. A string of 20 shuttle loses. A string of 50 gank fit catalysts. Again, these “loses” are taken intentionally. It cannot ever be perceived as a loss in any true sense. That’s like donating money to the poor and acting like you were robbed.
And kill/loss ratio isn’t actually important to anyone anyway. They can claim it is, but at the end of the day no matter how “epic” or embarrassing the killmail it is forgotten and buried in their zkill/history. Nobody sees a guy and say, “Oh, that’s Soandso! He took down a titan in a corvette back in 2010. His K/L ratio is suberb!! I know this because I check it daily”. That simply isn’t a thing. Nobody gives a [bleep] other than it being a passing curiosity in local for a few minutes.
Now my Battleship are better than my marauder. That is cool. I tought T2 ships are the better ones.

Better at ganking? To be better or worse at something requires an actual player skill requirement, which ganking does not. Overwhelming force against a relatively defenseless target simply requires a willingness to show up. Everyone gets a trophy.
I take no pleasure in inconveniencing other people or ruining their day. I’m actually a decent person in that regard. Sitting at a gate for hours waiting for something expensive to jump thru or looking for hapless miners/explorers to grief isn’t my idea of fun. But you do you. Just don’t pretend you’re not a carebear at heart. In terms of PvP, you’re like a timid fox vs. a lab mouse. Elite PvP are like male lions fighting other male lions to take over the pride.

Well of course no-one looks at killboard that way. When I look at someone else’s killboard it is mainly to establish…
- Does the person do any combat activity at all
- What level of ships/skills is the person flying
- Do they do fleets or solo or both
- Kills to loss ratio…which gives some idea, when the above are taken into account, of whether the person is a force to be reckoned with.
I’ve only very rarely looked at a killboard and thought ‘what a hero !’. Usually I just want to know will I be slaughtered if I attack them.

Holy moly, My Vargur couldn’t clear the second room of L4 World Collision PVE almost…
I had to run the Shield extender for whole the time, my cap dried up, my drones got eaten like bugs, and only bc I could kill all BS I managed to be able to kill the last scrambler with the last of my 15 Hornets!!! and fly away!!! I thought, well, how BAD COULD THIS BE??? IT?S REALLY BAD!!!
Unsufficient cap to make it for the Tank loss… diminshed DPS… this is tragic…
How could they possibly think this was a good idea???
