hello, should the excavators be on separate asteroids or on the same one? What is the difference between that?

Being on different asteroids allows you to have more time before switching to new asteroids, kinda the same with mining lasers, if you dig out from one rock it will get spent faster, mine from different rocks and they last longer

It depends on how far away the 'roids are…
Don’t be further than about 2,000m from the 'roid(s) - preferably less.
