Save dead Corp - Sole active member for 10 years could inherit or claim the corp

access list and roles let me share my items with my alts; you have no way to know what’s in the hangars, who put it there, and their intentions. except, of course, they intended for the OP to NOT have access to them.

agreed; not everything, but again, you have no way to know. you can’t say for certain NONE of it is.. so regardless, giving the OP another player’s items, regardless of how long they’ve logged in, is wrong.

yes, and they didn’t, so you may surmise it was intended that the corp and any items in hangars be lost on their exit. again, giving their items to another player goes against the owner’s will.

CCP has never deleted (afaik) player’s property or characters; it’s there if you want to come back, be it months or years. i don’t think this should change.

I can, because personal assets exist in personal hangers, not the corp hangers.

if they wanted to keep them they could move them to there personal hanger.

yes, and they didn’t

which can only be interpreted as them not caring about anything there anymore, literally giving away control it them.

giving their items to another player goes against the owner’s will.

again, not there items, so it there will does not matter, if we were talking about personal hangers that point would hold, but we are not. for all we know there were active directors when they left, so there was zero intention that the assets be lost when they left. if they actually wanted the assets to be lost when they left, they had options, including kicking other members from the Corp or moving the assets to there personal hanger, they choose to do none of that. so at most that leaves us with an assumption that they don’t care what happens to the assets.

CCP has never deleted (afaik) player’s property

and that would not change with this, because again, not the players property.

I see a lot of debate about corp assets / player assets ownership etc.

As far as I know, corp assets heist is a thing in eve. Such as piracy, scams and everything. So being able to challenge and reclaim ownership of a corp should be no different than this. and again, it does exist as an ingame mechanic (provided you got corp shares that is). My point here is to ask for a way to extend this mechanic to every member of a corporation.

I read in some of the post above that CCP do not delete accounts but at a point in time they used to, so my point is that they have (or they had) processes to contact afk player and ask them if they still wanted to come back .

And once again, in my specific situation, assets matter not. Corp offices rent are no longer paid since ages ago anyway.

But this post was useful, as I was able to get very good feedback and different POV on such issue.

thats not always true, I know of corps who have been dead for 10+ years who still have offices, because at 10k/month even a minimal corp account balance will mean that they essentially never run out of funds.

it already is…
you have already yourself mentioned the how, the why, etc of the mechanic…so petition CCP and if they say no, then thats it…stop crying to us like a baby and grow up.

an out of game support ticket is not an in game mechanic….

its the bypass…if ccp ssyd yes…if ccp says no…then thats it like i already stated. we have no reason to carry on a circular argument of stupidity, have good year
