New, New Player Hud, this is a partial Hub, with some bells & whistles that are not needed yet removed.
New, New Player Step 2 Hud, this is again a partial HUD, but with more options added, linked to skill progression in the AIR career program.
The Full New Hud
The Old Hud for Veterans who just don’t want to change.

I would suppose that at least for the old colorful icon set this would be a nobrainer. Just a handful of icons and a tickbox to either display one set or the other.
It is a common request. There are quite some people who don’t like the lifeless flat single-color icons. A style that was even regarded obsolete by the industry in 2021 again.
We don’t even get that albeit it comes up in the forums frequently.
As for multiple HUD versions, i would suspect this is real work to maintain those and there i can understand that they would reject that workload.
But from here you can extrapolate what will happen. We don’t get the easy and obvious things, why should we then get the hard things…
