Spinning up a new alt and would like my “vereran” account to be able to share all the fits that has been accumulated through the years. I can select a fit and “copy to clipboard” but one at a time is no bueno. Perhaps even outside the game client. Manipulating fits via folders in the explorer (or equivalent) ?
You could store your useful fits outside the game in Pyfa (with the same copy to clipboard feature you mentioned).
From there it is easier to import them to your alt as it doesn’t require relogging between characters.
From experience: the alt has limited skills so the amount of relevant ship fits you have to do this for is luckily very limited too.
And the alt likely also has different skill levels, so you may not even want to copy your main’s fits over one on one but make modified versions for that alt.
Pyfa is pretty useful for that: you can import your alts skills, open the fit and easily swap out the few T2 mods it cannot use or swap in a few ‘compact’ mods to make up for lack of CPU and PG that you may encounter.
Hi, @Rancorz
The fitting window. It has an import from and export to file on your PC. You can recall any fitting you have saved in any character from there.
Import/Export to PC is one method but as you said, slow for one at a time.
I don’t know of any mass import method, but if I was doing this I’d probably open an EVEmail and my fits list, and drag links from each fit into the mail, and send that. You could also send to multiple chars, or access it again later to forward to another char.
You can export all your fits to PC in a file. All fittings is the default. And you can then import all the fittings into another char from that file. Takes no time at all. This wont over-ride existing stuff…so you may end up with duplicates.
The fittings file goes to Documents/Eve/Fittings
Just use the mobile app “Evanova”. It will let you view the fit and cargo of any and all of your ships. It also keeps track of your saved fits and shows the stats. In addition, it’ll also keep track of your skill queue if that interests you.
It’s still a manual entry, but it’s something.
