SKNR Cost Balance

The PLEX cost for creating ship skins needs a rebalance. For instance, creating a Venture skin uses an average 500m worth of plex which is out of reach for starting players who really would love a new skin for mining in.
The costs get bigger as the ships get bigger, but the smallest ships are still very expensive and I believe need a lower starting point of a cost base.

SKINR skins are vanity items, they have no impact on your gameplay and you don’t need it to play the game.

But if people want to spend hundreds of millions to make their ship look pretty, why stop people from doing so? Even a ship as cheap as a Venture should have some expensive rare skin options.

If you want a cheap skin to change the appearance of your Venture I see there are multiple options under 2M ISK in Jita.

for sure, but no custom options. which means, SKNR is out of reach of new players, and when you have a system in game out of reach of new players, they will soon forgot about it.
Its a bad way to run a system. You want as much engagement as possible in something like SKNR, it shouldnt just be for “Rich folk”

You can make skins with SKINR to customize your ship for as cheap as 25 PLEX if you don’t add too many colours or rare patterns:

SKINR is not just for the ‘rich folk’ but also for anyone who has some spare ISK and is interested in changing their ship. Sure, you can spend billions on a detailed skin with all the bells and whistles, but a simple skin isn’t that expensive.

Now I personally don’t care and haven’t made any SKINR skins yet, but if you want cheap SKINR skins: they exist.
