No, we have not agreed that.
I have argued that with correct fitting and piloting, they can be effective. You will probably have to burn out of the capture zone in order to do this.

I have also argued that perhaps a short range setup would yield better results if you want to continue the capture process while fighting.

And youā€™ve completely ignored my point that Destroyers are very good at wrecking frigates. Your issue seems to be with frigates getting under your guns. All of this is a YOU problem, not a game mechanics problem.

think about what you suggest. lets say the capture zone is a 100km radius circle around the button.

so, you get a bunch of friends in longbow cormorants, sit on the very edge of the capture circle and wtf blap anything that comes into the plex.

the FW rework was aimed at improving small gang and solo content in FW space. hence, the limited capture circle.

if you want a bigger capture circle, these already exist in Medium and Large plexes.
