Never mentioned anything about being affordable nor whether he should be allowed to do it. It is unreasonable for a scout alt which generally is expected to die rather sooner than later and serves as an expendable alternative to losing what would follow it may it be a hauler, mining ship, marauder or whatever else.
It is similar to that guy who complained on the forums some years ago or such that his battleships were killed so many times, then after fact checking his zKillboard people realized he was flying empty battleships into the exact same gatecamp over and over again.
Nobody questioned whether he is allowed to do it (because he is) nor that he couldn’t afford it (though his complaint showed probably he couldn’t), instead it was an unreasonable thing to do (which is a fact). That’s all.
Btw it is a funny thing, you know absurd humor, seeing something silly and having a laugh. This is EVE people do silly things all the time including wasting ISK so if someone takes the game so seriously they can’t have a laugh at something occurring with (their or someone else’s) virtual space pixels in a vid’ya game or get offended about such then perhaps EVE is not a game for them.
Such situations and worse happen all the time in EVE. You can choose to get offended over them and others mentioning them or just have a laugh and carry on. Most will laugh at the situation instead of the person anyway, others may not (including ones that get offended on behalf of someone else) that just shows their agenda and intentions, which is also silly so worth a laugh of its own.
Anyway this is an MMO so do what you want and others will see it and react to it as they want as well, freedom goes both ways.
You are trying to defend him while nobody attacked him. Maybe if you feel the need to defend others who didn’t even express their need to do so then perhaps it’s worth thinking about what might be behind this urge.
Anyway having a “reason” =/= being reasonable, just as something done because of a specific logic does not mean it is logical in general.
Either way we are not required to agree on how we react to it nor what we find reasonable.
And ultimately you have the right to be wrong about it.
You seem pretty judgemental. A person doesn’t have to be silly to sometimes mess up. The situation still can be silly. Though technically one can argue someone doing a silly thing is silly at least during that time he did it but I rather focus on the situation than the person.
Wasn’t talking about OP but you know that because you deliberately excluded the rest of the sentence that clarifies this “occurring with (their or someone else’s)” thus it is clear you are here to stir up drama instead of having a discussion about the subject and I’m not taking part of that as that is not why the forums are here for.
But that’s because you are poor and haven’t had a reason to do so, he clearly had a reason to do it and was ISK well spent as well on his part… according to some people in this thread anyway.
I’m not even sure what you’re talking about. Are you sure you wanted to reply to my post? Because it was asking clarification from OP what he meant because what he wrote was not what the killmails shown. My post has nothing to do with the gatecamp itself or PvP speifically so not sure how what you wrote is relevant to my post to which you replied to.
