SP gift

So that means BIGGER GIFT yes?

Nope.

Well, that “gift” issue can be actually turned the other way around. For every day without fixed local, one less player subscribing, one more player saving real cash.

Ok.

Soo how about an SP number with 6 zeros? :money_mouth_face:

Oh well sure if you want to turn things around they should pay us for every day local works!!

We’ll get 36 SP, because that’s also the number of Likes CCP Falcon has given in total on this forum.

Be glad it doesn’t have a Dislike button and that CCP isn’t removing SPs.

Weren’t we supposed to have received the SP a week ago?
Doesn’t matter. We can’t even get critical bug fixes (battery mutaplasmid anyone?)

In any event, you’re asking in the wrong place. r/Eve is where you need to post you query for a timely dev response…

How many SP do you have that adding 50k SP to your total pool would be more than a drop in an ocean? :stuck_out_tongue:

When you’re sitting at well over 100mil SP these “gifts” for service issues really don’t make any difference and chances are whatever skill i was training wasn’t affected so i didn’t lose any SP anyway

I would be happy with 50k, it is just a gift to say hope this makes up for the issues that put you off playing the game due to a significant bug that was key to some players game play and made them easy kills for people who normally are too useless to catch anything. It is valuable to me even if it only a small chunk of what I am training, it all adds up. However currently I am training up a specific role on another toon on my main account and that will help a lot in getting a key part of his skills up to run the fit at an optimal level.

I am pretty OK with bugs and issues, anyone who has written any software will understand why getting uptight over bugs like this is not worth it, so for me it is well lets go do something else instead, and I did, but I stayed paying two subs which I renew on a per month basis. So it is them saying thanks for staying with us, which I appreciate and I appreciate the little things like that when they make errors.

I will appreciate it and makes me feel good, I also like it that newer players can get a bit of a leg up.

PS I seem to have a recollection that you did something underhand against me, something to do with posting a mail to do with Hub Zero on the forums.

As a maxed alpha all I am doing is maxing more alphas, both a blessing and a curse really

It enables you to have alternatives if you have one in a player corp and another in a NPC corp, then you can avoid the impact of war decs, it is worth it training up another of the characters to operate on too.

I have no idea who or what hub zero is sadly so i think you might have the wrong person on that one :stuck_out_tongue:

OK, but your name ringed a bell somewhere, o7

This is like living beside a mountain and your insurance company saying "we know that a rock fell into your roof, breaks it and that it rains in but first we must find out how anti-gravity works so we can avoid the rocks from falling down into your roof…

Totally makes NO sense

Closet to make sure that have a solid plan to prevent further rocks from falling, that way they are only having to repair things once rather again once the rocks fall again.

why in any worlds name would you try and depend on some funky point failure source outside cloud service to handle such a critical game function is totally beyond me.,.nothing but trouble will come of this.

Tranquility was down again for a few hours today.

Ever since brain-dead-in-a-box perfomance in EVE has been for ■■■■. Great, you can have a few hundred more players in the massive TiDi fests (although chat still fails and mass-disconnects are standard fare). Meanwhile market, industry, heck - any kind of task - gets the “black window of death” and the accompanying 15-20 second lag. You can’t even dock or undock with a lengthy delay. And this is with fewer players online!

Launcher issues, database issues and server issues seem to be a weekly (or bi-weekly) occurrence. If CCP had to maintain a 99% uptime that most service providers do (forget 99.9% or even 99.99%) they’d be paying us for our monthly subscription.

For that matter, anyone directly subscribing (not PLEX) through CCP should be receiving free SP for every single downtime (other than daily), login issue or chat problem. Maybe then that would be an incentive to fix things.

I know CCP won’t respond. This isn’t r/Eve…

I think you put far too much weight on CCPs concern regarding giving out free SP.

And to be fair, deciding what get fixed, when, is a bit more complex then the average player would think.
That’s if everyone can agree that the feature is actually broke, and not just simply less than ideal.

Actually that would be a start. Local is part of the game balance, maybe not designed originally, but as cyno’s and capitals got added it developed a sort of balance. The value of local was eroded with faster warping specialised ships but that was correct game balance. That of course is my opinion, there are some who think local should be like WH space.

That said a lot of players can operate because local works for them, remove local and they will not be able to operate. I would have no real issues operating with limited or no local, the question is whether I could be bothered to?

Your point about lowsec might have been true a couple of years back, but not any more.
