so I have a spacemouse and figured I’d try it on EVE to see how it is, what do you guys think of the footage? I think its got some good potential
While I appreciate the footage, you never actually see this during actual game play. I will be out there mining and all I really see is POP! and the cut of my drifting corpse. Even when you find a cluster of ships fighting, it never looks like this cinematic quality. I do applaud your efforts, as I know this takes work.
I remember my friend was able to use Direct X to pull the mesh and textures from games and amp up the quality in Blender. He was able to produce much better graphics and impossible screen shots using such CAD software and hardware.
I myself used the features of an online game to replay recorded scenes offline, then manipulated the camera around making movies from another perspective. This was fortunately built into the client and no 3rd party software was required. Recently I recorded some footage of me shooting NPCs and it took a lot time and effort for the low quality clips I produced.
Have fun!
Its good footage. Well done
You’re absolutely right. It took alot of time and trial to get even a few seconds for some clips. Going the wrong way or a jitter in the fly by. Usually you go pop or you have to reduce the graphics because there is so many ships. Where realistically, everyone is following in a line to an anchor
its neat to hear about amping up the quality in blender, thats a nice way to do it. I don’t have experience in that so its honestly relying on the rays from the sun that streak across the ships haha
