Spam/Flood in the help chat

Greetings!

I started playing this game relatively recently and am a solo player. My skills are supported by my experience, from the Internet and often from the help chat. The help chat is the place where I get answers with specific details. I also currently give consultations in this chat, based on my experience.

However, the situation is marred by spam and flood from other players, which prevents helping and receiving help. The means of combating this are ineffective, since this continues for a long time and the situation improves only temporarily. When ISD enters the chat, everything is normalized - their hard work deserves praise. But in the chat, in particular, Help in Russian, the appearance of ISD is not a frequent pleasure, and as a result of this - anarchy occurs in the chat.

There is now a blocking function, which is often used by players. But it has a serious drawback. The thing is that my personal spam blocking does not prevent players who come for help from spam, especially newbies - they drown in messages that are far from the chat topic.

I suggest several options for solving this problem:

1. Stabilize the appearance of ISD in the chat, especially during prime time;

2. Implement a function to limit the frequency of messages, as it is implemented in the Twitch chat, for example (SlowMode);

3. Add “Report Spam/Flood” in the opening menu via RMB, as well as a message about RMT.

Stop playing solo.

While you can, this game is meant to be played with others. Specifically, when you’re a new player, you should be playing with others.

No idea how it is in Russian chat. What is known to work in English chats is asking for help on the discord, that generally gets ISD attention real quick and they’ll get the channel back on track. Also, create support tickets with the names and some of their chats copy pasted, any repeat offenders will quickly learn to behave.

Oh, and ignore the clown.

In the last few days I’ve been going to the help channel (Eng) and there was almost always ISD, and it was fine in the chat, but in the Russian channel it was absent all this time.

I concluded that the problem was the absence of ISD.

Note: The Russian channel is the second most populated.

No, the problem is people being problematic.

Very often English help chat does just fine without ISD, just not always.

Assume this person finds another like minded individual in the rookie chat. Neither are now solo players.

Problem with the help chat spam still remains, does it not ?

I agree. Therefore, the lack of ISD makes the situation worse.

They gave you a Block option in chat. You can use it, and stop demanding everyone else fix your issues when the tools are already there.

Please read and understand initial post again? Blocking is mentioned there. It is not the issue for this player. Also he didn’t ask to be “unsoloed”.

If this is an issue specific to russian channel, then maybe complain about it on the russian forums where there is a higher likelihood of running into someone giving a crap? English, French, and Spanish help channels, for example, are all fine, even without the ISD. So maybe that says something about what you russians are like?

I don’t think it’s a problem, Meridan Night. I just ended up in this forum thread and it’s more convenient for me.
The best case scenario is if the responsible employees pay attention to this post and “hint” to the guys who will resolve the situation.

Or, you could try becoming an ISD yourself. I think CCP still accepts applications to that department. Not sure if you qualify, but you can check it out and that’s also an option.
