Jita is still better than big Twitch/Youtuber stream chat, it’s just as fast except it isn’t mostly 12 year olds typing memes.

I get what I pay for - access to play on their servers as they can reasonably provide. As a paying client, I’m mostly satisfied. Don’t care about log-in rewards much at all. Kind of wish they didn’t even do them, really.

Now with the hypernet, spam is on steroids. I used to look for deals but quit a long time ago. I agree with OP, but thinking CCP will do anything is like doing Level IVs in a rookie ship.
I rarely visit Jita, but for those who consistently trade there a usable local would be a good thing.

If CCP could implement some kind of filter so each pilot can filter out certain words or pilots, without actually blocking them, in the local chat, I think that would be better…

Just split local chat from local pilot list. Then we could just close local chat when WE want to. I would have local chat closed all the time, its too TOXIC.
In my experience it’s only places like Jita where there’s a lot of spam.
I used to spend up to 16 hours a day and rarely saw anything in local chat. The spam (scams) in places like Jita kind of made a nice change, at least it felt alive.
As for newer pilots seeking information, that’s what the help channels are for.
