Well, thatā€™s not RMT, but whatever.

It is a shame with all those people in system, and no one can talk to each other because of all the spammers. I used to think it was part of Jitaā€™s charm, and easily ignored, but then I met a guy who likes to use local to make friends, help people, bait and so on. Itā€™s not just a social thing for him. He actually uses it to create content for himself and others. It made me develop a new appreciate for local, and now Iā€™m starting to wish that CCP would do something to address the spam.

Well your not supposed to talk in WH local chat so that kills off alot of systems. If your in null your better off just using alliance or corp chat as the people who are in the same system as you and not in those channels are usually enemies. For low its the same thing for the most part. and as for high sec i have found that a majority of players either straight up ignore local or your the only person in it.

I canā€™t second that. I always greet wormhole dwellers and response might be silence, a nice chitchat, or some interdictor activity at all the exits :wink:
Also in any system, some folks might want to talk, while others donā€™t. of course you only befriend the ones who talk, but thats ok. i am member of a shitload of chat channels ā€˜becauseā€™ I chat in local. people invite me to their chats, we have fun together, it always depends what you do in the first place.

NO. Jita is a busy place, everyone in Jita wants to make ISK. The ads should be crazy there. Jita is a nice place and just because your poor poor eyes have to read these ads we dont have to ā€œModerateā€ them.

None of the local chats are moderated, as far as I know. The only local chat content CCP will possibly do anything about is what you report. As for Jita, it makes sense there would be an incessant flood of sales ads there, because itā€™s a trade hub. There are several quieter adjacent systems where people can socialize.

The non-local chats are occasionally moderated, but Iā€™m not aware of a chat thatā€™s moderated full-time in-game.

When Iā€™m in Jita and docked, I just minimize the chat window and itā€™s taken care of :slightly_smiling_face:

It is my experience that about 6-10 Blocks when entering Jita quiets the roar down to a murmer. Then I can talk to those who live there.

The only channel that I know of in Eve that has CCP moderation is Rookie Help Chat and even that is intermittent.

I use lowsec local all day to make friends and enemies. Lots of us in lowsec do.

But Jita, itā€™s beyond helpā€¦ Or block people as Mike suggests. :slight_smile:

You and every Jita dweller is welcome to join us in the" Jita Traderā€™s Pub " . Its an channel with around 20-60 people who chat, make deal and flex with their wealth or just hang out. The only rule is no Hypernet offers. Its also a good channel for new Capsuleers to get some tips and tricks from the older players.
