Yes, you should notice that I tend to wonder what it is that gets guys like you to “hate” me, call me “toxic” and that other dude to call me an asshole and a psychopath. If that’s me playing the victim, okay. Maybe it’s just me looking on in wonderment as I try to figure what the hell is wrong with you two.
Obviously.
Again, you seem to have me confused with somebody else. How about we agree that you don’t like it when my co-host talks about other people’s penises, and I don’t like it when you egg on guys who call me psychopathic assholes? Deal? Can there be peace in our time?
I’ve read them all, as I noted, and I still can’t understand why you guys think anybody is going to change their behavior because there is a gate that lets people move in by taking fewer jumps. People do not decide to move to an area, especially lowsec players moving into highsec, because it’s four jumps closer than it was before. Unless there is some kind of monetary incentive to move in there, some content they can get there easier than anywhere else, they aren’t going to change what they’re already doing.
This is why I keep saying to you guys that I need more explanation because you guys seem to think that a new gate is armageddon, and all I can see is a new gate to a region nobody but you wanted to live in before this change and that won’t really make a difference.
Again, I see no real difference. You are a part of this and no amount of evasion changes that.
That’s not what I was doing, I just commented that I see and understand the play the victim tactic. Evasive what aboutism and distraction is something every American with half a brain should be…intimately familiar with these days. I suppose I’ll give you a pass on this one though, since I did joke that it’s weird Destiny and I were on the same side. I said this because we’ve fought in other threads.
Stop changing the subject.
Besides, this is also a false equivalence, because I’ve been very careful to not call you that. I don’t feel I need to resort to name calling in that manner to express my distaste for you and your ilk.
I’ll call this failure of imagination and bad faith. I think I’ve been fairly clear. I suppose it’s POSSIBLE I’m being unclear in a way I don’t understand, but I don’t think so.
Thank you. Since we decided a few weeks ago to adopt the leaf as legal tender, we have, of course, all become immensely rich. […]
“But we have also,” continued the management consultant, “run into a small inflation problem on account of the high level of leaf availability, which means that, I gather, the current going rate has something like three deciduous forests buying on ship’s peanut.” […]
“So in order to obviate this problem,” he continued, "and effectively revalue the leaf, we are about to embark on a massive defoliation campaign, and…er, burn down all the forests. I think you’ll all agree that’s a sensible move under the circumstances.”
Oh, wicked, bad, naughty Zoot! She has been setting alight to our beacon, which, I have just remembered, is grail-shaped. It’s not the first time we’ve had this problem.
Hello New Eden, as a new player with no Corp members / in game friends, trying to do these events alone or with another I am finding very difficult.
Who was the content actually aimed at?
I got myself in my venture and excited to contribute but found the sites too hard to do.
You, sir/madam, made my morning coffee taste that much better. Trust me to spot a Monty Python reference at any time of day.
Now, who gets the spanking ?
In consideration of the event. They need to tweak the rats to be giving bounties. Its been a bit frustrating for some of our Support players who will find themselves unable to kill the Diamond Rats and getting no payouts on top of it.
The 4 Limit Bug is rather common. Because it mixes up your invulnerability status with the number of players in the site. Sometimes causing some interesting issues with players getting stuck outside the gates for a bit trying to mash buttons to be let in to empty sites.
Although as I have mentioned on streams. I would highy suggest to CCP they need to allow the Mining Boosters in the Market. The Miners are stoked for this kind of booster, but we don’t get anything special out of this event otherwise.
Also why didn’t the Industrial/Mining Ships not get skins pertaining to their nations Event? Since we are putting some effort for the various factions. I think the Industrials and Miners should be getting a skin. Like the “Republic Fleet Ordnance Spike Venture Skin” etc.
And if i buy apparel with LP’s.
What good is apparel if i can’t “walk in station” or see my whole character while running, walking etc etc.
It would be awesome if we can get “walking in station” back in 64bits so apparel can be useful again.
In my opinion apparel is currently useless as it can only be used to change 128x128 image in chat, and “view whole body” and that’s it
Genuine question: Why is CCP doing its best to remove diversity in eve and harming (intentionally or otherwise) niche play styles?
Places like Solitude and Stain are interesting because they’re different, the players that live there have been attracted by the isolation, a place where logistics are hard and replacing ships and protecting wh connections is significant. Adding shortcuts back to the empire are going to make these regions just like any other NPC region.
I wish CCP would just state it’s objectives for the game going forward. It feels like we’re already more or less at the stage where PVE is the biggest consideration as farmers are the bulk of the remaining customers. PVP has become mostly consent based and niche playstyles are slowly being phased out. With every single round of updates comes more disappointment and the feeling of being dared to conform to be something you don’t want to be, or quit.
Tried some sites yesterday in a T1 Dessie and in a T1 fitted Rifter, it’s a good training, but the cruisers are tough for a standard Newbro-Destroyer. I still think it’s one of the most newbro friendly events, provided there are enough sites you can enter.
My obervations: Most sites say " too crowded", but DScan is your friend. If it showed enough space, I kept on trying and after less than 30 sec, I was able to enter in most cases.
Local chat is helpful, you don’t need to be in a fleet, just ask in local if you bring your Venture, the minor Sites are a good training. There’s no pointing, so you always can warp away.
I just wonder if these 8 systems are enough, or how in a crowded system they will handle the traffic without disappointing the players. Perhaps we need some traffic lights in the overview…
Regretting my emotional rhetoric.
TiS has since informed my opinion.
I’ve left my outburst of frustration up so that I may atone for it here.
Thank you event-folk for doing what you have with the apparatus you’ve got.
Authorship tools make a profound difference in world-building, invest in them please!
Just one Venture on D-scan, denied entry twice in a span of about 30 seconds. Could there be some cloaky saboteurs? Can anything be done about them if so?
