Stealing kills in the event combat sites

Makes popcorn, goes back to little backwater system in lowsec, smiles…

Not all events are like that  Some events have really cool mechanics.

Nobody flames out with the homophobic and racist vitriol like PVE players. It’s pretty wild.

You complain about steals in the event combat sites ? I have an additional story, from nullsec.

The real steals in the event hacking sites are from CCP !

To whoever in Iceland who thought it would be a great/fair/fun event mechanic to force ships to uncloak as they enter the hacking sites: IT ISN’T ! In fact it’s unfair - and as you know, since this is about flying cloakies, it makes my blood boil.

It’s the same nonsense as in your replacement asteroid belt, with grid based uncloaking !

In fact, it’s even worse: if you sit in a site for 15 minutes, cloaked or not, without touching a single hacking container, the site disappears from the probe scanner and then despawns !..

And that’s for bloody nullsec space !

Stop the cloak hatred ! Give us at least a chance for 'splosions !!

If I had to guess, I would think they did that to prevent people in CloakyT3s sitting in these sites all day long insta-popping asteros/covops all day long as soon as these start to hack.

That’s why, while I’m doing some combat PVE exploration, I don’t warp into someone’s site and keep jumping two-three hops away. In 80% of cases it’s always a better idea, because I find the same DED quality sites, even better, with lucky loot. It is always a “time game”. I did some of these competition games previously (I warped in, they warped in) and I learned that they are completely stupid from all points of view. This is not the Olympic type of games where all competitors have nearly equal conditions and all depends on practice and personal skills and in the end the winner will get a top reward 100%.

The issue of your idea is if you’ll do that in hi-sec, you’ll get “concorded”. Players who do this kind of griefing or baiting are very good at it. Like those baiters back in the day in dual rep cap stable Deimos or Proteus fits. They usually say: “because the MMO game allows them to intercept”, but not all are in a hurry to intercept a low-sec moon mining fleet somewhere in Aridia for example or a FW site at rush hour.

During an event, back in the day there was a case good for ganking in 0.5-0.6. So I decided to do some anti-ganking or -griefing games. Usually I’m not interested in this kind of game. I built a “very special” Flycatcher as our infamous heroes are doing. So, in a site someone warped in a Thrasher. When I was under NPC dps and EWAR effects, he locked my ship and started to nuke. His dps was surprisingly high. I’m thinking about his implants and boosters. At the moment my ship’s shield was at 55%. Just imagine how surprised he was when this happened before CONCORD response:

Yes, poor poor cloaky and nullified asteros/covops who now roam around with impunity, hacking sites all day long.

These are the people @Githany_Red supports.

Why are antigankers so toxic?

Remember: these people wouldn’t have been toxic and said all those discriminatory things if only we didn’t provoke them with unwanted PvP, without their consent, in this PvP MMO.

So really, it’s pretty much like we’re responsible for them being racist and homophobic, which effectively makes us racists and homophobes. If that’s not a reason to ban us from the game, I don’t know what is!

It seems like you figured it out. You can complain about it more or go with it… I agree with you it’s not ‘common courtesy’ but don’t confuse what should be with what is.

woke - a term used by selfish sexist racists to describe those who care about people less fortunate than themselves.

Since when did it ever exist in EVE?

EVE is a cold harsh place

If you want to hunt people at the event hacking sites, there are very, very simple ways to circumvent the issues you mention. In fact, it never even occured to me any of this could be a problem, because my standard operating methods worked perfectly fine. Hint: they don’t involve camping the site or warping to it at zero. I’d say more but I think it would do you well to put in some effort to figure it out for yourself.
