Whenever you hold shift and drag items you get a pop-up prompt to specify the quantity you want to split away from the rest of the stack. Would it be too much to ask for an option of “Split stack by m3”? I don’t believe it would have any real negative consequences and would cut out a lot of logistical headache.

I totally support this.
An option to split a stack of items into several ones that contain a certain number of items would be much welcomed.
Current need to manually split stacks is cumbersome and boring.
